Deus Est Machina archetype

Play style:

Mostly focusing on destruction on the board to activate or special summon certain monsters and effects. Mainly a rank 1 and rank 4 engine with a link monster for further plays. They can benefit from the GY and have swarming capabilities while trying to summon their stronger monsters. A spiritual descendant of the Meklords and Scraps.

Lore:

This archetype lore is that the Meklords conquered the Scrap machines as the main three Meklords become the Machine Gods and seek out organic life and convert them into their fold. Those who willingly joined with the machine gods became their priests as they spread the word of the machine gods, by destroying organic life and converting them into machines that follow one thought and what they think is true perfection. The archetype is based on Zoroastrianism beliefs.

I personally think some off your cards does things to much without a significant drawback nor limitation Deus Est one for example. Way to Easy to Summon Skill Drain//Mirror Wall (you can use your own card to destroy it) that also has board-wipe effect on SS monster that can result in massive body. Not to mention their unique effect is quite potent hukta and humata can combo with each other (Hurvhasta too to lesser extent) to destroy, steal, and provide material for Link and Xyz for no real price other than popping your own stuff. Doesnt seems fair in my opinion

I got to the rest later. But the amount of power i observe on the earlier line up is definetely concerning

That's....actually a lot of fair points you've made. I was so caught up with making this archetype good that I forgot to balance them out. Now I'm looking at it, there aren't many drawbacks if any at all. Since they can summon themselves with little to no problems and activate their effects when summoned would cause problems making the game unfair. Maybe making a larger cost and changing their effects similar to the Meklords by making them only be special summoned from the hand and not from the GY. However, what could be changed? For Humata that has a free solemn strike, why not make it so that you pay LP for each time, while destroying a card you control. It would put you in a -1 and loss of 1000 LP but you could potentially stop a major play?

im actually gonna suggest you to remove some effects beside the cost adding. Simplicity is often best. Not only making your card less like a dictionary it also making it focus and unified both the end goal and game interaction. I mean look at recently banned Master Piece its has 1 less effect than most of your Deus Est and has less wording needed it. But it potent as hell since the effects despite the lack of extravagant is focused on doing its job at right timing.

That being said. Vohu is not only a great Deus Est pop-summon enabler it actually a worrying powerful searcher being able to fetch 2 after you just extent your board presence. ATK gain is not something that xyz monster need but boy 1100+ without archetype restriction is nasty

These guys is really nasty-good R4NK (well rank 1 as well) engine eh? Asha here is quite crazy. It has a bit generic self summon, The said invocation is crazy (the Main Deck boss summoner, pop 3+foolish burial, and Xyz Summon from GY) and as material: it has unrestricted spell search that search non-archetype cards which a no no unless you put a crazy amount of eye-squinting limits and cost on it

Vairyu is is ok i guess? If not because the other members its actualy a gimmicy but nice R4NKmaker especially 3+ mat ones. Control switch effect is gimmicky but you can run Machine Kaiju in tandem of it. But for now at least overall this card is ok

(Gonna gradually add more)

Which effects should I remove then for the Deus Est Machina monsters? For Vohu I could limit it to searching one monster with Deus Est Machina in the name or card text that way it's non-genric search and destroying one card you control that way it could put you to 0 or +1 depending on what you search. I could also change the Attack boost to another effect since even making it to Machine type rank 4s would make them hella strong like Gear Gigant X would be 3400 Atk and be a strong searcher. I could instead give rank 4 Machine type Xyz a battle protection clause since the field and continuous spell card only work on level 4 or lower machine monsters and ranks are different than levels.

For Asha I could instead make it archetype exclusive so that way people aren't recycling Dark Holes and Raigekis. For example she could simply search the destroyed field spells and Invocation from the GY and add them to the top of the deck. And to special summon her I could make it "If there's a Level 4 or lower Deus Est Machina card on the field, you can special summon this card from the hand"

For Invocation of Ahuna Vairyu is tricky but I could change it to "When this card is activated, Special Summon a Level 1 Deus Est Machina monster from the GY. If there's a face-up "Deus Est Machina" monster on the field, this card cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. Once per turn: you can destroy 1 monster on the field and send 1 Level 4 or lower Machine type monster from the deck to the GY. When this card is sent from the field to the GY, you can use this card and 2 other Machine type monsters from the GY as Materials for any Machine type Xyz monster and summon that monster. This is considered as an Xyz Summon."
