Hello, fine peoples!

Decided to put up the 'mon I had for the Pokemon Archetype Club.  While the cards don't have any real relation to one another as a whole, the 'mon happen to be some of my favorites so I kinda really wanted to do 'em early.

PokéBug Shuckle
EARTH ****
Insect/Effect
If this card is Summoned: change it to face-up defense position. This card can attack while in face-up defense position. This card cannot be destroyed by battle. Your opponent cannot target "Poké" monsters you control for attacks or card effects except "PokéBug Shuckle".

PokéWater Remoraid
WATER ***
Fish/Effect
If all the monsters (if any) on your side of the field and in your GY are WATER (and only WATER), you can Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn (Quick Effect): you can target 1 "PokéWater" monster you control; equip this monster from your hand or side of the field to that target. At the start of the Damage Step, if the equipped monster battles a monster, you can destroy this card and that monster.
1000/900

PokéWater Octillery
WATER *****
Fish/Effect
You can Special Summon this card from your hand, by tributing 1 level 4 or lower "PokéWater" monster. You can target this card to activate any "PokéMove", "beam" card, ignoring card conditions. If this card, or a "PokéMove" card that is activated by targeting this card destroys an opponent's monster(s) (by battle or card effect): you can target up to 2 face-up cards on the field; negate their effects. If this card is Special Summoned using "PokéWater Remoraid": you can add 1 "PokéMove", "beam" card from your Deck or GY to your hand.

PokéMove Signal Beam
Spell
Target 1 "PokéBug" monster you control to activate this card. Target 1 card your opponent controls and roll a six-sided die. If the result is 1-5: send the second target to the GY. If the result is 6, apply the appropriate effect:
- If the second target is a monster, take control of that target.

- If the second target is a Spell/Trap, Set it to your side of the field.

I might have been a little too into the flavor to the detriment of capacity, but I think I hit a good chord for right now.  As always, CnC much appreciated!

Cheers!

What level are they? They were censored for some reason.

Shuckle

It's pretty good, however you should be aware that this also will protect the bigger boss monsters. However due to its weakness to Raigeki I´d say its fine for now. Will however wait for a second opponion on wether this is too strong or not.

Remoraid

Good card, gives you options and fodder for the later bigger monsters. Basicly makes all your monsters battle immune. Has good offensive power. Not overpowering though as it isn't that re-usable.

Octillary

So, this is a personal thing. But I'm pretty disapointed in the lack of Octazooka-like effect.

Other than that though, I guess its fine if you're planning on making more "Beam" cards.

Signal Beam

Abit situational. It targets and only 1 monster is affected. Unless you roll a 6 its basicly a downgraded Raigeki. Maybe if it could target any card on the field it would be better for the utillity. Or if it was a Quick Play (but that might be OP).

Oh sorry, I should explain that for low level/rank monsters I use the keyboard's stars to do monsters' levels (Shuckle is level 4, Remoraid is 3, and Octillery is 5).  I didn't realize they look like censors though, that's funny!

Anyways, thanks for the look.  I was really debating between making Octillery about Octazooka or about the plethora of "beam" moves it could learn.  I debated doing both, but... well the text is really long already.

Making Signal Beam work on any card means I'd probably have to change the 6 effect to Set the target.  It would make the card more useful for its 1-5 effect, but it actually weakens the 6 effect pretty significantly because you wouldn't be able to use the monster you stole as material (also I don't think you would be able to target Link monsters at all on the off-chance you roll a 6).  Despite the card being fairly tame, Yugioh actually doesn't have much easy 1-for-1 non-destruction spot removal, so I thought I'd be good.  I could buff it though if it still looks too weak..

You could just have the text go "If the target is a monster, change control of that target, if it is a Spell/Trap card, set it to your side of the field" or something like that?

Because like this, it really wouldn't be worth running (with) Octillary as it is too situational. Might be worth it in a Mono-PokéBug deck though. And its not like it would be OP.

I get the Octillary being focussed on Beams if you want to make more beam cards/beam support cards though. It's just pretty weird to have this Pokémon being supported/supporting only 1 card that isn't even that amazing. But totally understandable if you have further support planned.

I like to think of the effect negation having to do with spraying the cards with ink.

Let's see what's in here:

Shuckle is generally fine for the most part, though without non-targeting / sweep removal (coupled with it being battle immune), stuff is going to be very hard to crack. Another issue is if you get two of these out and they form a very high defensive wall. Either you would need to add an exclusion clause or a "can only control 1" clause.

Remoraid is fine for equipping / getting rid of an opponent's monster; also for being a generally free Summon overall if you play all WATER.

Octillery is kinda awkward as far as its function goes; least with it destroying stuff. Though, I am semi-iffy about this negating up to 2 cards permanently with respect to other cards that only hit 1 and usually are temporary (i.e. Breakthrough Skill), especially in conjunction with Signal Beam or whatever else we end up making. You could probably look into making it last only until the end of the turn. Everything else like the retrieval effect is fine.

With Signal Beam, if you do opt to make it handle any card your opponent has, Ninjask's wording is sufficient enough. Otherwise, card works fine as-is for monster removal. Then again, we do not have any Bug-types in here at the moment (barring Shuckle).

Oh sorry, I should explain that for low level/rank monsters I use the keyboard's stars to do monsters' levels (Shuckle is level 4, Remoraid is 3, and Octillery is 5).  I didn't realize they look like censors though, that's funny!

If you have an open Main Monster Zone when doing this, then yes, you can steal a Link Monster your opponent controls (or any Extra Deck monster). If a monster leaves the EMZ, it goes to the Main Monster Zone when it returns.

You summoning a monster to the Extra Monster Zone only applies if you are summoning said monster from the Extra Deck. And even if you were to do the Extra Link, said monster would go to the MMZ when you take it.

*explanation on stealing Links*

Yeah, the bolded part was in response to my initial thought of making stealing = Setting (which would mean that you couldn't use it against Links b/c they couldn't be Set, not b/c they couldn't be stolen).  I think I'ma just use Ninja's wording though; it'll give the card greater flexibility.

I'm also dialing Shuckle back a little.

Admittedly, the permanent effect negation on Octillery might seem a bit much, but you've gotta look at the big picture for it as well as looking at it in a vacuum.  It is useless as a turn 1 monster, Octillery itself is a level 5 (so it cannot easily be used generically), and, very likely, you'll have to play through a field to get it out and in a position to do anything.  On top of that, it has to destroy a monster (Signal Beam doesn't destroy) which means it currently is exclusively a battle-based effect.

As a whole, I just think there are a lot of hoops for it to jump through for that effect negation to be online.  However, if it still seems overbearing, I can dial it back to temporary negation.
