Guardian Summoning Mechanic

Overview:

-------------

Guardian Monsters are a special type of monster who is placed in the Extra Deck before the start of the duel. Each Guardian Monster has the standard stats of an effect monster, meaning it has a Level, ATK, DEF, etc. In order to summon a Guardian Monster, they must be Normal Summoned from your Spell / Trap Zone. To place a Guardian Monster in your Spell / Trap Zone, simply send its Guardian Materials (listed on the card) from your hand / field to the GY. If a Guardian Monster is removed from the field, it is returned to the Extra Deck face-up.

Rules:

--------

1) There is no such thing as a Guardian Summon.

2) Guardian Monsters are treated similarly to Pendulum Monsters while on the field.

3) Guardian Monsters can be Pendulum Summoned.

4) Effects that affect Normal Summoning (e.g. Gem-Knight Seraphinite) apply towards the summoning of Guardian Monsters.

5) Guardian Monsters are NOT treated as Spell Cards before they are Normal Summoned from the Spell / Trap Zone, they are still treated as monsters.

6) Guardian Monsters cannot be used a Synchro, Xyz, or Link material while in the Spell / Trap Zone. (Fusions are ok)

Pros:

-------

> Evades MR4

> Can use cards in hand as well as on field

> Self recycles

> Synergy with Pendulums

Cons:

-------

> Natural Limit of 1 per turn

> Clogs a Spell / Trap Zone until summoned

How? You never really explain that.

Also, you have no monsters. For criticizers to grasp the fullness of an idea, they must be given some examples and what kind of main effect do they have (Ex: Most Lightsworn monsters have the effect of sending cards from the Deck to the Graveyard).

Ok, listen here:

1) It's a simple premise that you use your OPT Normal Summon to summon these from the Spell/Trap Zone rather from the hand. It's basic inferation from the overview

2) I COULD make an example monster, but making one would not help determine the power of the summoning method (Which honestly is kinda weak, was just a 1-Shot idea) but rather would create bias against a possibly unbalanced card (on either end of the scale).

3) Lightsworns are NOT the same as Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, etc. Rather - They are what's known as an 'archetype'.

I would hope those 3 statements satisfy you.
