So I have these ideas (Judgement Dragon archetype: Synchronicity with my favorite archetypes!/Cartoon archetype: mill 4 game #gg)

I have ideas for two archetypes. One is the Judgement Dragons.

 

The Judgement Dragons are an archetype of mostly Extra Deck monsters, each one with a "Base Form" and a "True Form", and each base form + true form pair represents one of the Judgement Dragons. Each one of the Judgement Dragons represents and is a member of an archetype I choose. The Judgement Dragons can "evolve" to their True Forms either by meeting a certain condition or by being targeted by the card "The Judgement Dragons' Rank-Up-Magic Force". There are also a lot of Main Deck Support spells and traps that do stuff that archetype generally do, like popping a Level 4 or lower mon from the hand or adding a card from the maindeck to the hand.

 

Now, I see your objections: "The Judgement Dragons are EXTRA DECK monsters that SUPPORT OTHER ARCHETYPES, not their own perfect archetype!"

 

You see, I have figured out a special gimmick. Each of the Judgement Dragons has an effect that says, "At the start of your turn, if this card is in you Extra Deck: You can reveal this card; For the rest of the duel, all of your banished "<archetype>" cards or "<archetype>" cards in your Main Deck, hand, field, GY, or Extra Deck are treated as "Judgement Dragon" cards."

 

EXAMPLE:

"Judgement Dragon Cartoon Animator"

3 "Cartoon" monsters

At the start of your turn, if this card is in you Extra Deck: You can reveal this card; For the rest of the duel, all of your banished "Cartoon" cards or "Cartoon" cards in your Main Deck, hand, field, GY, or Extra Deck are treated as "Judgement Dragon" cards. Once per turn: You can detach 1 material from this card, then target 1 monster in your GY; Send cards from the top of your opponent's Deck to the GY equal to the Level or Rank of that target, or the Link Rating of that target x2. If this card is targeted by a "Rank-Up-Magic" card: You can Xyz Summon 1 "Telemachus, the Cartoon Judgement Dragon" from your Extra Deck, using this card as material. (Transfer this card's materials to that card.)

ATK/1500       DEF/2200

 

And then Tyrian's effect could either be a completely different effect that mills, supporting Cartoons, or just Animator's effect up to 11 because I'm lazy.

 

Also, I have another idea. The Cartoon archetype, mentioned in the example, is an idea for an archetype based on the Tom and Jerry characters from cartoons (Konami could just change the names and designs up a bit if they need to get around copyright). They are a bunch of Level 4 or lower EARTH monsters (haven't decided on Types, if you have any suggestions, I'll hear you out) focused on playing defensively, milling the opponent to trigger an alternate wincon, and bringing out Rank 4 and 3 Xyz monsters (this is mainly a secondary goal). They also have effects that trigger when they are attached to a Cartoon Xyz monster (since that's never been done before) that prevent the opponent from using certain kinds of Extra Deck mons. The advantages to Cartoons are that they can be searched with Toon Table of Contents, they ignore the opponent's LP eliminating the need for big offenses so they can focus on milling and defending, and that there is virtually no protection from milling. Their greatest weakness is grave triggers/summons and their lack of stats and stat boosting (although the former can easily be resolved by teching in Necrovalley/Macro Cosmos/Dimensional Fissure).

 

So, what do you think of these two ideas? are they good, or do they need work?

No it’s not. I will be sure to add a Lightsworn member of the archetype that acts exactly like Judgement Dragon except it can access its True Form through Judgedrag RUM, like a True Form for Judgement Dragon.

I actually prefer to seperate my ideas from the current game.

 

For example: Guardian monsters can't make any use of Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress #1 or #2, and version of Celtic Guardian, Gate Guardian, etc.

 

Keep your Judgment Dragons seperate from the LS archtype.
