Horu Posted June 16, 2018 Report Share Posted June 16, 2018 A Hybrid Summon is very simple. Hybrid monsters go in the Extra Deck. Hybrid monsters can only have 2 materials. When you have the necessary materials on the field, you can Hybrid Summon the desired monster. The trick with a Hybrid is that while you require materials to summon it, those materials stay on the field. Example: You have Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon and Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon on the field. Violet-Eyes Glowing DragonLightDragon/Hybrid/EffectLevel 92700/2250"Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon" + "Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon"Can only be Hybrid Summoned when the above materials are face-up on the field. <list the effect of REDD and BESD here> In short: the hybrid is an even 50/50 split of each material. So if the monsters are equal will be on par with the materials. But the idea is usually combining 2 monsters to get something that lands right in the middle of those materials.
