Super Quant Support

Super Quant is fun, but got really messed up by Master Rule 4. Here is my attempt to partially correct that. Based off of Power Rangers Zeo, the first “sequel” to the original Power Rangers.

Super Quantum Gold Layer                        Cyberse/EARTH/LV2                        800 / 2400

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can attach 1 "Super Quant" card from your hand, field, or GY to an XYZ monster you control. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: you can target a “Super Quant” monster you control; move it to another of your Main Monster Zones.

Super Quantal Mech Pyramid Base           Machine/EARTH/Link           2400 / L3         LD, D, RD

If you control “Super Quantal Mech Ship Magnacarrier” you can discard a card and use “Super Quantum Gold Layer” as this cards only Link Material. You can only Special Summon “Super Quantal Mech Pyramid Base” this way once per turn. Once per turn, you can target a “Super Quantum” monster in a zone this card points to, and a “Super Quantal Mech Beast” XYZ monster in your GY with the same attribute; Special Summon that second target and attach that first target to it as XYZ material. You can only activate this effect of “Super Quantal Mech Pyramid Base” once per turn, or, if “Super Quantal Mech Ship Magnacarrier” is on the field, up to twice per turn.

Super Quant Boost Armor                           Equip Spell

Equip only to a “Super Quantum” monster by declaring an Attribute; the equipped monster is treated as the declared Attribute and gains 400 ATK. If the equipped monster is used as XYZ Material for an XYZ Summon, attach this card to that summoned XYZ Monster. You can only control 1 face-up “Super Quant Boost Armor”.

Super Quant Charge Crystal                       Normal Spell

If this card is sent to the GY while you control a “Super Quantal Mech Ship Magnacarrier”; draw a card. If a “Super Quantal Mech Beast” monster is Special Summoned while this card is banished, you can attach this card to it as XYZ Material. If this card is in your GY, you can banish this card and target a “Super Quant” monster in your GY; Special Summon it. You may not activate this effect of “Super Quant Charge Crystal” more than 3 times per Duel. You can only activate each effect of “Super Quant Charge Crystal” once per turn.

Gold Layer is fine for what it does, which yeah, would help with getting their respective "rangers" back on the Xyz Monster they're supposed to be piloting or whatever. Oh right, and Alphan does send this to the GY so get the ED monster out of there.

You're missing the materials for Pyramid Base, even if you're probably summoning this with Magnacarrier and Gold Layer with a single discard most of the time. But otherwise, it does what it needs to, and that's getting out the Xyz Monsters with material so more fuel to go into Magnus. Issue is that it only works with the original 3 (well, without the next card helping otherwise).

Boost Armor's nice, considering the fact it makes Special Summoning stuff off Base easier to deal with instead of stuff being dead if you don't have the correct Attribute. Too bad it can't equip when you use Magnacarrier to go into Magnus and you've equipped one of the Xyz with this (well, because it says Special Summon and not Xyz Summon). At the very least, you can still attack with said monster if you need to.

As far as Crystal goes, yeah, it's reliant on the field for your draws, but it's fine. But same like Armor, no one's complaining about free Xyz Materials to add on to the big boss later. I do need to check if you can revive Magnus with this card's banish/SS effect; think you can, because you did summon it properly but need to be certain (not that you'll probably need to for the most part). It does synergize with the second effect, which also helps.

So yeah, as a whole, the support looks fine. Just a reminder that Xyz isn't written in all caps; XYZ is for that Machine Union archetype from a long time ago (which probably did take cues from Power Rangers / Super Sentai for their bosses as well).
