Flash Flyer - Sakura Posted June 20, 2018 Report Share Posted June 20, 2018 Voting Torterra because I generally like his design better, and technically speaking, I actually bothered to breed one (as opposed to just evolving a random Mareep I caught in Gen 5 to Ampharos). Then again, I gotta use said Turtwig babies I bred anyway, so... I'm not even mad that Ampharos beat my Eon during the GPT 8 finals, and whatever happened then had no bearing in this vote. Just throwing that out there. ===(Though, I suppose that if you guys want a runner-up tournament too from the last 8 tournaments, it can be arranged after this one finishes.) Darj Posted June 20, 2018 Report Share Posted June 20, 2018 Damn,I missed the semifinals. Although 1 more vote on Zigzagoon would have not saved it. Going for Ampharos on this one. As cool as I find Torterra, and I do like it, I cannot but support a Pokemon that is liked by more than 1 of my close friends, plus one can't deny it's cute. ~British Soul~ Posted June 20, 2018 Author Report Share Posted June 20, 2018 As usual I went with Ampharos. It is one of my favourite Johto 'mons and it has a fabulous mega form. Nothing against Torterra though, I do like it as well and has its merits (eq upon evo and other useful moves). Mind you, as fitting for the final, this is a much closer match than when they met in the group stage, there is nothing separating the two at this moment in time.
