Must be Link Summoned. When this card is Link Summoned: Xyz Summon 1 FIRE Xyz Monster from your Extra Deck using Monsters from your hand, field and/or GY as Xyz Material. During your Main Phase: you can detach 1 Xyz Material from a FIRE Xyz Monster you control; inflict damage to your opponent equal to the original ATK of the monster who you detached the Xyz Material from. If you activate this effect, this card cannot attack during the Battle Phase this turn. you can only activate each effect of "Sun Deity, Dawn Amaterasu" once per turn.

So Sun Deity, Dawn Amaterasu is a Special Link Monster that can generate Xyz Monsters by using materials from hand, field and grave as material. In addition to this you can detach a Xyz Material from one of your Xyz Monsters in order to deal damage to your opponent equal to the Xyz Monsters ATK.

 

In regards to its summoning conditions, decks like Fire Fist, Evol and Battling Boxer can make use of this card for both of its effects.
