Seems I've some unfinished business for Gishki Noellia's favorite Duel Terminal speedbag the Gustos, and in regards to Yui's wonderful words in regards to my last work on the subject, my last four cards on the matter are being delivered to you all as one lump sum, in a way of saying proper regards to one of the more interesting archetypes of the Great Gishki War era.

Enjoy, gentlemen.

WIND/Winged Beast-Type Flip Tuner Effect Monster/Level 4/1950 ATK/950 DEF

Lore: FLIP: Activate 1 "Gusto" Normal Spell/Trap from your hand or Deck.

If a "Gusto" monster(s) is Special Summoned from the Deck or Extra Deck, while this card is in your hand or GY: You can send 1 Level 2 or lower "Gusto" monster from your hand or Deck to the GY, then target 1 "Gusto" Psychic monster you control; it loses up to 2 Levels, or up to 3 Levels if it is a Synchro Monster, also Special Summon this card in face-up or face-down Defense Position. You can only use each effect of "Gusto Kori" once per turn.

This card features the forgotten mount of Reeze, Whirlwind of Gusto-an often rarely-used countermeasure considering all the magical enchantments taken to combine with the large bird. In fact, its name, taken from the kori bustards that often flew the skies above The Grand Marshlands of Mist Valley, fit it well-the kori was the largest flying bird among current history, and the Gusto counterpart was the largest among its kin, combining with Reeze to form Daigusto Koris, known better to this forum as Daigusto Griffins.

WIND/Psychic-Type Effect Monster/Level 5/1600 ATK/1300 DEF

Lore: If you control no Psychic monsters: You can Special Summon 1 "Gusto" monster from your hand to your opponent's side of the field, and if you do, Special Summon this card from your hand. You can destroy 1 "Gusto" monster on the field that you own; this card loses 1 Level. If this card is sent to the GY: You can Special Summon 1 "Gusto" Tuner from your hand. You can only use each effect of "Gail, Watcher of Gusto" once per turn.

This features a more covert member of the mist valley-the spy/watcher, Gail. Hailing from a long line of watchers that surveyed the Mist Valley ceaselessly for danger, her drive to continue the legacy got her position within the Gusto family-and her sharp eye for potential allowed her adoption a pet within one of her patrols to change her life for better and worse.

The better part came early, when its combination capabilities came online and it was inducted as the little-known Gusto Squirro, allowing them to become...

WIND/Psychic-type Synchro Effect Monster/Level 6/2700 ATK/1500 DEF

Lore: 1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner "Gusto" monsters

While you control this Synchro Summoned card, the activated effects of all "Gusto" monsters you control can be activated during either player's Main Phase. Once per turn: You can banish 1 Psychic, Winged Beast, or Thunder monster from your GY, face-down; each player must destroy 1 Effect Monster in their hand (if any).

Newly imbued with Gail's precision-targeting magic and Squirro's lightning-charged agility, this girl-beast combination served as the early-warning system for the Gustos after the Gishki's first invasion. But that was not its only time in the field-during that war, this duo was most known for single-handedly keeping he attention of Vylon Disigma in the closing moments before Gem-Knight Pearl put it down for good.

However, its second venture into the field was when the "worse" part of Gail's union with Squirro came to pass, as it was a futile attempt to keep the Evilswarm virus-imbibed Gishki Noellia from spreading her miasmic mayhem over her home. Once again keeping just ahead of the mad ritualist's attacks, Squirros managed to inhibit Noellia by attacking her at the moments she tried to use her Mirrors to turn the tide. Ironically enough, water would end up being Squirros's downfall-as Noellia's slip from a puddle caused a fatal bolt shot at her to miss its target. The sample of Noella's toxin that she sent at Squirros immediately after had far truer and more tragic aim.

Noellia, mad with rage over her sneak attack almost being foiled, threw Gail and Squirro, one after the other, over the cliffs Gail's grandfather once scaled and surveyed, before unleashing her poison over the Gusto home, having slammed shut a short but treasured chapter in the Gusto anthology in the process.

This story will not end on so dour a note, however. Let us look upon a form that that Gishki-crafted poison kept short from being debuted, instead....

WIND/Psychic-Type Synchro Effect Monster/Level 8/2100 ATK/900 DEF

Lore: 1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner "Gusto" monsters

When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can target 1 "Gusto" monster in your GY; Special Summon it to either side of the field, and if you do, its ATK becomes 2000. This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls, once each. Monsters your opponent controls lose 900 ATK. All non-WIND monsters on the field cannot activate their effects during the Main Phase 1.

This form came from Windaar's spark of inspiration after seeing Reeze's utilization of Vylon tech to become Daigusto Sphreez. Seeking a similar way to amplify his skills in the wake of the first Giskhi strife, Windaar found inspiration in the deceased Fabled Raven's powerfully sturdy wings and armor, and after some effort and questioning, used them to whip up a suit of armor whose shine and sharp edges could even inhibit incoming non-physical assault.

However great the power this form embodied, it was the constraints of time that kept the Sage of Gusto from using it against the Giskhi when they-and Noellia's poison attack-came calling. Put clearly, Windaar had no time to transition into the heavy battle-oriented armor, though it may have helped him last longer in his attempt to beat back the debilitating storm from his home.

That's it for the lore-time, folks. Next time we have Storytime with the BlaDeS of Change be sure to look out for the potential working with MOAR UNION Monsters-the contest-winning Camorras Company is coming to a forum near you.
