Is this worthwhile? It's a Level 8 to make Rank 8s with, or you can boost it up to 4000 later on in the game, with none of the restrictions, could be somewhat useful. If it had been a Photon it would probably have been better though.

A 1 of at best (to me at least), special summoning itself is nice but it will turn (unles you have galaxy eyes in your hand) into rank 4 fodder. Of course other cards can SS summon it, I really wish it can reveal a galaxy monster too. The support so far is great but the lack (or additional in some cases) of words restricts them from being what they need

I mean, all three of these are cards you run at 3 and very much want or need to see in a duel. The deck really needs monsters that can put themselves out on the field without using the normal (because you want to save that for Serpent or Knight), and considering Advancer is kind of bad (needs to be a "Photon" on the field) and Thrasher isn't really the card to be running (semi-nomi/doesn't cope well with Accellight-- also you can't really use Thrasher with this) the deck is pretty short on monsters that you open with.

 

This being a Galaxy name that you can dump on the field for free without a concern for what's on the field alone is fairly nice. I did the numbers and the chances of this being live/dead in the hand with the cards at hand are fairly close to Soldier.

 

It's honestly not the best? For starter monsters I'd want something that actively helps me plus. You frankly don't need to run this, the deck will still function without it, but it does help (unless I learn in testing that I hate seeing it more often than not then hoo boy). But, having a free Galaxy name to put on the field that can be level 8 if you want it to be is pretty nice.

 

I'm disappointed that this is all we get for Galaxy/Photons, that the buck of good cards stopped with Sol Flare, but at the least it's not unusable.

With this their is Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon to make Rank 8's, Photon Wyvern (if you decide to use it) to make Rank 7's, Photon Leo (same with Wyvern) to make Rank 6, Photon Slasher for Rank 5's and most Photons like Thrasher and Lizard for Rank 4 or 3's.

 

So looking at this it has the potential to be usable to make many different ranked Xyz Summons though the best use would be Rank 8 with Galaxy Eyes and Rank 4 with Thrasher. Still you will need your other Photon/Galaxy Cards to help set this up effectively.

It’s... decent.

 

Definitely good enough for 1 copy, if only due to orbital and soldier, but it’s very possibly good at higher numbers.

 

Requires testing, though I assume it’s a 1-of.
