Okay, not gonna lie these things look like the bastard offspring of an orgy between Vylons, Symphonics, and Skull Servants.

As for their effects, they're... interesting? Hopefully they'll have decent means of loading the GY up with these things to make good use of their effects (why are they so restrictive?), as otherwise they'll be way too slow to really accomplish anything.

I thought the girl looked like Construct a lot. There's one more link I'm translating atm

Galatea currently looks to be the best source of advantage as the one Link you probably want to sit on, depending how good their S/T are. Also, hopefully they might get more 500 or less ATK monsters because Machine Derp could be pretty lit in the deck, especially since their Links bounce machines, so Cyber Valley could see potential use.

Orphegor Attack

Normal Trap

(1) When an attack is declared: Tribute 1 "Orphegor" or "World Legacy" monster, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; banish it.

Orphegor Core

Continuous Trap

(1) Once per turn: You can banish 1 monster from your field or GY, then target 1 "Orphegor" or "World Legacy" card you control, except "Orphegor Core"; neither player can target it with card effects this turn.

(2) If an "Orphegor" or "World Legacy" card(s) you control would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can send this card to the GY instead.

Given their traps mention World Legacy stuff, will it be safe to assume we get another world legacy monster that fits into the deck's strategy somehow?

That's usually a given. The problem is is that the traps are utter garbage that don't help with the dumping strategy the deck apparently wants to work with, and is thus devouring valuable resources on the field for no good reason whatsoever.

lore time!

For those interested, the theme’s name seems to call to:

-Orpheus, the Greek figure who went to the underworld to reclaim his wife. In this case, Ningirsu trying to bring back his sister Ib from the dead after she seemingly killed herself to stop Lee from using her body with the Knightmares.

-Orgel/Orgol, a Music Box (also the term for Organ)

-Belphegor, the Demon Lord of Sloth who is connected with bringing laziness and the corruption of men through technology. And in the World Legacy setting, things that refer to music are basically always Bad Things .

Huh, saying this as a line before the rest of the stuff drops:

They're a World Legacy Archetype, at a minimum, they're getting a Field Spell, and if it either:

A) Allows them to activate "Orphegor" Traps the turn they're Set (look at Orphegor Attack, it can also trigger on YOUR monsters' attacking), or:

B) Lets you mill Orphegors

The archetype jumps a tier overnight.

Literally any two of its Main Deck monsters can ladder you into a DARK Link-4 that requires 3 materials, through their initial use and GY float, their DARK restriction only applies after the first Orphegor is banished from the GY, so it can easily work with other non-DARK Links in the early goings, and one of them is not only Machine Dupe-compatible, but a Tuner (so Needlefiber compatible) and Level 1 (so Linkuriboh compatible).

Yeah, this Deck's got a lot of options-ESPECIALLY with the Borrelinks.

For right now, I'll give scores based on how they look now.

Orphegor Canon Cannons a clear 8.5, Skeletion is 8.0 since it can extend plays another step by Summoning back Orphegors from the GY to Link climb, then banish itself to provide more fodder, Divel Devil is a 8.4 since it gets out Orphegors from the Deck with ease, Galatea depends on the Field Spell and how useful this Deck decides to make its Traps, so 7.8 for her right now, Longinus is a 8.0, and both traps are a 7.0.

I KNEW one of the original World Chalice members wasn't gonna take Iblee's death proper and try to get her back, I JUST KNEW IT

Thought it'd be Auram tho.

The monsters seem quite powerful, but they do restrict you to DARK, so if you plan to use other World Legacy support, that's going to be annoying, and right now, you need to, since their support isn't super great, the two Traps seem last minute really, not sure what or how this will be very useful to them, the Link Monsters seem alright, both able to return their banished stuff. It's nice to see a Deck that encourages linking to your opponent though as negative effects to them. Of course, they are still Machine/DARK, so the support for them is out there, but still needs a little something to not make them another Krawler situation.

It's fine if you stick to just world legacy monsters they are all dark

Or Artifact, Vylon (art wise) and Infernoid (art and effect wise)

One of my favorite archetypes already. DARK/Machine, love the evil instrument concept, as well as their artworks: Skeletion, Divel, Longinus look all cool to me, while Galatea is pretty much my new waifu.

Story-wise, I'm guessing Ningirsu attempted to save her sister, but was overtaken in the process?

They got potential, but will need the right support, IMO. They may not have effects on hand or field, but that means you can make use of them as fodder, or straight mill them. Although their effects bind you to DARK Summon, the Attribute has plenty of members so it should be workable. The Traps don't look that good, but if they can get them as "freebies" as Galatea implies then they act as bonuses. It would have been more effective is she could Set them from the GY too, though.

Actually, at first I misread the Links as if they returned the banished Machines into the GY, but they actually return them to the Deck. That makes them not as advantageous as I initially thought.

Can't wait to see their corresponding Field and World Legacy; hopefully something that patches their currently clunky playstyle.

What I find interesting is that the Trap Cards don't have "World Legacy" in their names, and instead are Orpheger cards. Presumably because they didn't want Galatea to search World Legacies?

As for the archetype: It's incredibly boring.

Wasn't that just a thing Mekk-Knight did and the rest have their own plus 1 that crosses over?

The World Chalice, Krawler, Mekk-Knight and Knightmare Spells/Traps were all part of the World Legacy archetype. Although I had forgotten that the Palladion Spells/Traps were not, so it makes more sense now.

[...] As for the archetype: It's incredibly boring.

I cannot say that I agree, personally I enjoy the "aesthetic" of the Phantom Knight kind of design, beyond that the maindeck monsters are rather solid and can chain into each other, not to mention they work with milling.

Beyond that I personally enjoy their artworks, in combination with their theme, though given their art I would prefer them being Light Attribute monsters (with exceptions).

The main deck monsters appear to be solid, a reborn on a stick (that can revive the links), a summon from the deck on a stick (that can tutor out the reborn on a stick) and a level 1, machine dupe target with the tuner status for needlefiber plays (given that they restrict one after resorting to their grave effects).

The Links are (apart from the link 2) mostly mediocre, though fine for laddering and in case we get more archtype members (which we should within the next 2 days, given the 3 potential slots) the regeneration can be fine.

The traps are terrible (the protection one is the only tolerable one and that is kind of a stretch).

Given the 1 potential link spot below them I would expect a link 1 (though I still would like to see a link 5 or higher for that spot, especially given that the level 3 can revive links for even faster laddering), which would let them get started.

Satellarknights would like a word about the difference between "boring" and "effective".

Boring's better than busted, 2015 settled that for all the times.
