well

i guess thats one way of expanding it

I was looking for a way of recycling my Ritual Spells in Shinobirds, but my Demise, Gishki and BLS don't really need it. More versatility in Nekroz, mayhaps, although they're very stringent when it comes to levelling.

At least you have the illusion of choice now?

I was just thinking we could really do with worse versions of both existing Deviritual monsters that offer no practical advantage and whose situational superiority is so limited that the absence of any bonus incentive to use them is baffling. I must be blessed.

It's indisputably worse than searching.

"Worse than Searching" does not a bad card make, I thought we learned this from Invocation, and considering any of the Devirituals can Summon themselves from the hand and any other from the Deck, it's irrelevant. This offers Rituals a good follow-up play.

Besides, Devirituals offer cheap Level fixing-just run 4 of the Deck searchers and 1 each of the GY searches and you've got proper material for any Ritual Levels 7-11. That's....actually really good and necessary for Rituals nowadays.

I didn't say they were bad, but they are worse, and you'd want to see the searchers in the majority of situations more than you'd want to see these.

They're not great.

A +1 to material isn't good, in-and-of itself, because most Ritual Decks either have a way to circumvent the cost... or they suck.

This supports bad ritual decks in a way they want, but it's not exactly outstanding when it doesn't lead into better.

Now, the OG Devirituals are kinda nutso. These aren't terrible. But the issue comes in when you realize how little the cards actually do in, say, Nekroz or Gishki, which are the standards to be held to.

If even the better duo isn't OMG BROKEN, these aren't even close.

If you still have the prior one's in your deck these would always lead into them and do kind of the same these would do in your hand.

If you are out of the original one's you can pull from the deck these are immediately prepared.

How is this bad ?

You never get the effects of the one from your hand anyways.

Now the original one's are more consistent and you sometimes get a free additional option.

I personally like them and do not see how the critique applies if the originals are considered good.
