Cells at Work! (Hataraku Saibou)

Figured I'd make a topic about this instead of resorting to the status bar.

I was a fan of Osmosis Jones back in the day, so this is nice to see. Sure, it's been around for a while, but no one's brought it up until it got an animation.

I love it so far. Been reading the manga recently (cause one episode a week isn't enough with how much of it is already written.) Platelets are adorable (despite the R34 and the memes around it) and they do a pretty good job personifying how the body works and how certain events unfold.

Also, Macrophage is best girl. Fite me.

Macrophage has one of my favorite "onee-san"/"motherly" voice actresses in anime so yes she is best girl.

I'm really enjoying this show, I like how it goes from the absolute diabetes that are Platelets to almost gore when the White Blood Cells fight the invaders lol

Yeah, I love that voice. Very comforting and lovable.

and yeah, lol, the variety of moods is pretty wild, not to mention the comedic cuts placed here and there

Things get pretty crazy later on in the manga, though. Hell, they cover cancer a lot earlier than I thought, and they portray it a lot better than I imagined

Best girl is red blood cell.

This show was one that I knew from the start I'd have to keep an eye on, and I'm glad that I've chosen this season of all seasons to start watching anime episodes as they air instead of binging the entire season when it's done. Despite being a whopping three episodes in, I'm already calling Hataraku Saibou a 10/10 show, since the animation and characters are pretty funking great, and the changes in pace are quick, but not ever in a particularly jarring way. Everything is done just right so far, so hopefully the show can keep that momentum going.
