[Repost] Castlevania

So the Season 2 trailer for the Netflix CV series was released and got inspired by it. I will revamp the support to synergize with the DASA since the last post of this was long before Konami had the idea to release more Vampire cards.

[spoiler=Effect](This card's name is always treated as "Vampire Kingdom".)

While you control a "Vampire" monster, card effects in your opponent's GY cannot be activated the turn they are sent there. Once while face-up on the field, if you would pay LP to activate a "Vampire" card effect, you can use your opponent's LP as your own. Once per turn, if a "Vampire" monster(s) is Special Summoned to your field: You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; send 1 "Vampire" card from your hand or Deck to the GY, and if you do, it becomes a Zombie monster, also take control of that target until the end of this turn. You can activate 1 "Castlevania" per turn.

Design notes: The card works with both waves of support, actually rewarding your for milling your opponent´s Deck, by stuning that location as well gaining fodder for sheridan and stealing stuff in general. Based on the Lair of Darkness concept, you can use your opponents Life as yours, restricted to the archetype for obvious reasons. The missing card form Dark Saivors!

A good target for a good card. Was surprised why you had the Vampire Kingdom clause, and wasn't very happy with it, as I prefer powercreep if its absolutely necessary instead of replacement, but Vampire Takeover is such a wasted card, so I think I could forgive it in this instance. Despite me liking the first effect for supporting the mill aspect of Vampires while still being good, it might perhaps be a bit too good, locking down the power of a lot of Decks while still having such other decent effects. Second effect is similar, while beautiful in its idea (vampires much????), I just think of Fraulein's potential 3k hit to your opponent's LP while also dealing with their Borreload. At least it has a limit, ey? :P  Third effect is a little less subtle in its power, grabbing anything on any Summon of a Zombie, especially as it can act as disruption during your opponent's turn. Would suggest going with just one selection or the other, and perhaps even narrowing it further, as it is really easy to trigger.

I am with you with the Vampire kingdom clause, having multiple fields can even make the deck more versatile in the playstyle, but as you said takeover is a waste of card and this gives you a legit reason to run it. As for the rest of the effects I balanced them a bit more:

  • GY Lockdown now only works just for the turn on the card is sent (trigger effect are still screwed but cards like snow are now safe from this)
  • Using opponent LP now only works once while face up, added a hard OPT activation instead to prevent this from taking your opponents LP with 3 copies
  • The effect now triggers only on SS, which is still very easy in zombies but you may have to force it to go that way, also instead of reviving it takes control of a monster and turns it into a zombie, alluding to the mind control powers of vampires, just for a turn which should be enough for a soft disruption.
