Your smudging, however, could use more work. Right now, the smudging lacks detail so you're losing a lot of potential depth. You can use a smaller brush to go back on the large sections of color and add in finer details. Another thing people frequently use in tandem with smudging is clip-masked splatters or abstract c4ds.
