Noirforged

The idea for these monsters is a group of noir film styled robots, with many of them taking inspiration from different types of police. These guys came about when I realised how little DARK Machine support there is. Six cards. And three of them were released in the last few months. I decided that needed correcting.

[spoiler=Monsters]

Noirforged Investigator
Level 4
DARK/Machine
A piece player of the Noirforged Society, this robot can gather necessary information for its clients in an instant.
1900/1900

Noirforged Cavalry
Level 4
DARK/Machine/Effect
During either player's turn, if you control a "Noirforged" monster: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, then return 1 other "Noirforged" monster you control to your hand. If this card is Normal or Flip Summoned: Its ATK and DEF become 0, then your opponent can Special Summon 1 monster from their hand.
2400/2400

Noirforged Spreadshot
Level 4
DARK/Machine/Effect
If you control a "Noirforged" monster: You can reveal this card in your hand; all monsters your opponent controls lose 500 ATK and DEF for each "Noirforged" monster you control, until the End Phase. A monster whose ATK or DEF is reduced to 0 by this effect is destroyed. You can only use the effect of "Noirforged Spreadshot" once per turn.
1500/1500

Noirforged Collector

Level 3
DARK/Machine/Effect
When an opponent's monster declares an attack, if you control a "Noirforged" monster: You can reveal this card in your hand; send that attacking monster to the GY, and if you do, draw 1 card, then send this card from your hand to GY. You can only use the effect of "Noirforged Collector" once per turn.
800/800

Noirforged Repairman
Level 3
DARK/Machine/Effect
If you control a "Noirforged" monster: You can reveal this card in your hand, then Special Summon 1 DARK Machine monster from your GY. If this card is sent from the field to the GY while you control a "Noirforged" monster: You can add this card in your GY to your hand. You can only activate each effect of "Noirforged Silencer" once per turn.
400/400

Noirforged Silencer
Level 3
DARK/Machine/Effect
If you control a "Noirforged" monster: You can reveal this card in your hand, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; its effects are negated. If this card is sent from the field to the GY while you control a "Noirforged" monster: You can add this card in your GY to your hand. You can only activate each effect of "Noirforged Silencer" once per turn.
200/200

So, clearly Repairman is the star player of this Deck. A free monster from the GY to be used as material for a Summon every turn, a way to get itself back in the hand once a turn (if it goes from the field to the GY), and being a Machine Duplication target are all pretty sweet. Honourable mention to Silencer, free effect negation every one of your turns.

[spoiler=Spells]

Noirforged Care Package
SPELL
If you control 3 or more DARK Machine monsters: Add 1 monster and 1 Spell/Trap card, except "Noirfoged Care Package", from your GY or that are banished to your hand. You can only activate "Noirforged Care Package" once per turn.

Not sure if this one is actually useful, but I think 1-of could be good.

Noirforged Interrogation
SPELL/Quick-Play
If you control a "Noirforged" monster: Your opponent must reveal 1 monster in their hand, then choose 1 of the following effects. If your opponent has no monsters in their hand, you can select 1 card they control to be affected instead.
- Shuffle that card into the Deck.
- If you control 2 or more "Noirforged" monsters; banish that card.

A way for Noirforged to attempt to control the board instead of just doing their own thing. Needing 2 monsters to banish your opponents is taken from the Good Cop/Bad Cop dynamic.

Noirforged Uncovered Clue
SPELL
If you control a "Noirforged" monster: Reveal 1 DARK Machine monster in your hand; Special Summon 1 DARK Machine monster from your Deck with the same Level as the revealed monster.

Here we go, something pretty useful! You’re always gonna have a Repairman or Silencer in your hand, maybe a Cavalry, so this is definitely useful.

The Noirforge
SPELL/Field
When this card is activated: Add 1 "Noirforged" Spell/Trap card from your Deck to your hand. If you control a Machine monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, Machine monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle while that monster is face-up on the field.  If you control a DARK monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, DARK monsters you control cannot be targeted by card effects while that monster is face-up on the field.

The field spell for these peeps. The idea is that it is a Police Station but also a forge where the Noirforged are created, which sounds pretty cool imo. Since all the Noirforged are DARK Machines, this card stops them from being destroyed by battle or being targeted by effects. Only non-targeting removal for them!

[spoiler=Traps]

Noirforged Stealth Operation
TRAP
If you Set this card this turn, you can activate it during this turn's End Phase. Special Summon 1 "Noirforged" monster from your Deck whose Level is equal to the Level of a DARK Machine monster you control.

Essentially a free monster at the end of your turn, or any point during your opponent’s.

[spoiler=Extra Deck Monsters]

[spoiler=Link Monsters]

Noirforged Contact
DARK/Machine/Link/Effect
Arrow: Bottom-Right

1 DARK Machine monster
If this card is Link Summoned: You can add 1 DARK Machine monster from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn, you can pay 500 LP: Reveal the top card of your Deck, then place that card on the top or bottom of your Deck. You can only Special Summon "Noirforged Contact" once per turn.
1600/Link-1

Noirforged Supplier
DARK/Machine/Link/Effect
Arrow: Bottom-Left

1 DARK Machine monster
If this card is Link Summoned: You can add 1 DARK Machine monster from your GY or that is banished to your hand. Once per turn, you can pay 500 LP: Reveal the top card of your Deck, and if that card is a DARK Machine monster, you can Special Summon it. You can only Special Summon "Noirforged Supplier" once per turn.
1600/Link-1

Contact and Supplier are made to work together, basically paying 1000 LP for another DARK Machine monster, if your Deck is nice to you.

Noirforged Automatonarc
DARK/Machine/Link/Effect
Arrows: Left, Right

2 DARK Machine monsters
You can target 1 other Xyz or Link monster you control; until the End Phase, its effects are negated, then add 2 "Noirforged" monsters from your Deck to your hand, then you can Special Summon 1 DARK Machine monster from your hand. You can only use the effect of “Noirforged Automatonarc” once per turn.
2600/Link-2

Holy swarming, Batman! Yeah. Name is based on Automaton, which is a robot, and Narc, a police officer undercover doing drug related stuff.

Noirforged Undercover Kingpin
DARK/Machine/Link/Effect
Arrows: Top-Left, Bottom-Left, Bottom-Right

2+ DARK Machine monsters
If this card is Link Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Noirforged" monster from your Deck or Extra Deck to a Monster Zone this card points to, except "Noirforged Undercover Kingpin", but its effects are negated. If you do, you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of the turn, except DARK Machine monsters. Once each turn, you require 1 less Xyz Material to Xyz Summon a monster to your side of the field.
3600/Link-3

The boss of this Archetype, and rightfully so. This undercover cop has risen through all the ranks to become the Kingpin himself! With huge ATK and the ability to make Xyz Summoning way easier, this Noirforged is nothing to mess with.

[spoiler=Xyz Monsters]

Noirforged Greater Backup
Rank 4
DARK/Machine/Xyz/Effect

2 Level 4 Machine monsters
During either player's turn, you can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card: Special Summon 1 DARK Machine monster from your Deck, and it you do, it gains 1000 ATK. This card cannot attack your opponent directly.
2400/2400

Noirforged Greater P.I.
Rank 4
DARK/Machine/Xyz/Effect

2 Level 4 DARK monsters
If this card is Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Noirforged Uncovered Clue" from your Deck to your hand. You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card: If you activate a "Noirforged" Spell/Trap card from your hand this turn, after its effect resolves; shuffle that card into your Deck, then draw 1 card. You can only use each effect of "Noirforged P.I." once per turn.
1900/1900

Noirforged Greater Tinkerer
Rank 4
DARK/Machine/Xyz/Effect

2 Level 3 Machine monsters
If the only monsters you control (if any) are DARK Machine monsters, you can Xyz Summon this card using monsters in your hand, as well as on your field, but this card cannot be used as material for a Link Summon this turn. If this card is Xyz Summoned, and during each of your Standby Phases: You can Special Summon 1 Machine monster from your GY, or that is attached to this monster as an Xyz Material. If this card is sent to the GY: You can add 1 card from your GY to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Noirforged Greater Tinkerer" once per turn.
400/400

This one has the no Link Material clause for a very good reason. If you open with a Repairman and another LV3 “Noirforged”, you can build up quite the combo.

  1. Xyz Summon this guy from the hand.
  2. SS one of the materials.
  3. Link Summon Automatonarc.
  4. Add Repairman to your hand using Tinkerer’s effect.
  5. SS Tinkerer from the GY using Repairman’s effect.
  6. Automatonarc’s effect negates Tinkerer’s and adds 2 Cavalrys from Deck to hand, SSing one of them.
  7. Return Tinkerer to the ED to SS Cavalry.
  8. Link Summon Undercover Kingpin using Automatonarc and 1 Cavalry.
  9. Kingpin’s effect SS Level 4 from the Deck.
  10. Xyz Summon Greater Backup using 1 monster and use effect to SS from the Deck.
  11. Link Summon Contact using just Summoned monster.
  12. Use effect to stack Deck.
  13. Link Summon Supplier using Contact.
  14. Use effect to SS monster from top of Deck (if possible).
  15. Xyz Summon another Greater Backup (if possible).
  16. SS another monster from the Deck (if possible, maybe a big one like Desperado Barrel Dragon if you want).

So yeah, that’s why I put the no Link Clause of Tinkerer. Whew, I feel like I probably didn’t need to write this out.
