[spoiler=The Lord of Flames]5e16a8bc9b84128fc0e068f33e1aa0b0f6338053

This is the Teostra, also the Flame King Dragon. He is an Elder Dragon, the highest level of category in the world of Monster Hunter. He is a highly intelligent creature, and when not provoked by a hunter, will not attack without reason. (Granted, he attacks towns for their gunpowder, but shhhh). His wings allow him to fly, and he can breath fire. He can also leave trails of dust that he can detonate. His most devastating attack is to spread out his dust and explode it all at once, known as a Supernova.

Interestingly, he is the only Elder Dragon known to work with another, his mate Lunastra.

[spoiler=The Vanishing Beast]its_the_chameleos_by_lynxkano-d2kqhfq.jp

This is Chameleos, another Elder Dragon, this one sporting the title of the Mist Dragon. It has the ability to turn invisible for pretty much as long as it likes. It can also breath mist to reduce visibility and a toxic gas to poison its opponent. On top of all of this, its long sticky tongue can permanently steal items. It's not hostile unless provoked.

 [spoiler=The Only Cool looking Bird one I could find]dcdd5088e45e991d3ad3e36406c8beee5647626a

This is Hypnocatrice, a Bird Wyvern known as the Sleep Bird. It is extremely lightweight and fast, but still capable of devastating kicks. Despite its feathered appearance, Hypnocatrice flies using bat-like, membraned wings, leaving its feather arrangements strictly for display purposes. It possesses a sleep sac, which allows it to produce a colorless mist that can cause attackers to fall unconscious, leaving them open for a kick. It's not particularly aggressive or territorial, but will stand its ground if threatened.

Let's see what we get...

[spoiler=A protagonist's partner?]zinogre__monster_hunter__by_xeikth-d9lqa

Zinogre is a Fanged Beast known as the Thunder Wolf Wyvern. It has the nickname of the "Usurper", due to it invading other ecosystems and taking down the apex predator and claim their hunting grounds. Ironically, it only did this because it was driven away from its own home. They have a symbiotic relationship with Thunderbugs, which gives them the power to use electricity in its attacks.

Zinogre are somewhat similar to real wolves, they even howl like them. But they do not form packs, quite the contrary, they are solitary hunters. According to eyewitnesses adult Zinogre make herds and raise their young. During this period of time it is ill-advised to go hunting Zinogre as the adults will aggressively attack any intruders getting too close to their offspring.

ooh this looks fun

[spoiler=Ice King]legiana-monster-hunter-world-dragon-wyve

Legiana is a Flying Wyvern, known as the Wind Drifting Wyvern. It is able to emit a chilling wind from its body, which dulls its prey's ability to escape. It flies with extreme precision and agility, using its talons to grab its prey straight out of the air. Its legs are powerful enough to toss even larger monsters quite a distance. It can also produce ice with its wing flaps or by slamming its tail into the ground. It is the apex predator of the Coral Highlands, and as thus is only aggressive if hungry or if it deems you as a threat.

Ask and you shall receive.

[spoiler=The Most Obvious Answer]MHST-Epona_Render_001.png

Yes. This is real. They are in a Monster Hunter game. They hatch from an egg and then you can ride it. Why? I don't know. Collaborations.

I updated the old answers, as the pictures didn't look as nice as I had hoped. Anyways...

[spoiler=One of the Kings]lagiacrus___monster_hunter_by_nin_mario6

Lagiacrus is Leviathan with the the mundane title of Sea Wyvern, but it has a much more fitting nickname... The Lord of the Sea. It is the top of the aquatic food chain, with only one known predator, an Elder Dragon. This monster can also go on land, and it is formidable even there.

It has a special organ that lets it fire off electricity, and mixing this with mucus allows it to fire electricity as a projectile. The Lord of the Sky, Rathalos, is weak to its thunder, but almost ironically, the Lord of the Sea is weak to fire, so the fire breathing Rathalos isn't helpless against it.

To hunt down and capture prey, Lagiacrus will swim in a circle to form a whirlpool. These whirlpools are used to suck up fish and other prey so it can shock them to death before feeding on its quarry.

I was gonna give Dodogama, but that was too easy.

[spoiler=The Tankest Tank that ever did Tank]duramboros__the_tail_hammer_wyvern_by_ha

Duramboros is a Brute Wyvern known as the Tail Hammer Wyvern. It's an herbivore, but don't let that fool you. It's very territorial, to a point where if anything carelessly approaches it, it will attack and possibly even kill that creature without warning. It's actually a lot more aggressive compared to other predatory Brute Wyverns.

A Duramboros's most well-known feature is its hammer-like tail. Their massive hammer-like tail is used to knock down huge trees and to defend itself. One of its most unique tendencies is to twirl in place, using its tail club as a counter-balance to build up momentum, allowing it to hurl itself at an attacker and crush them with its body. Its shell is incomparably thick to a point where most species can't even damage it. On its shell grows moss and mushrooms. The moss actually serves as a shock absorber for older Duramboros while the mushrooms are an emergency food supply.
