Name a movie, I'll give my thoughts on it if I've seen it

Happy Death Day

honestly it was pretty neat. The acting bothered me a lot, and it doesn't hold up if you give it much thought, but they had an interesting concept and played it out much better than I expected.

I'll throw out my own favorite: The Fifth Element

I love the fifth Element, as well as what it meant to the genre. It defined pulpy sci fi, and had absolutely incredible costume design, set pieces, and props.

Digimon: The Movie

the movie itself, or the weird compilation thing that was released in US (with the prologue ft Kokatorimon and the epilogue ft diaboromon)?

I really enjoyed both, but the latter is far better than the former.

Shrek 2

shrek was neat as a creative take on fairy tale tropes, but when said charm mare it into the best selling movie by DreamWorks yet, they milked it far too much, quickly losing what was so great about the original.

The Avengers

it isn't the best MCU movie, nor is it my favorite, but I believe it to be the most emotionally accurate adaptation of a comic book to date. It was a giant mess of pulpy fanservice, while Joss Whedon's directing talent gave it just the right emotional balance it needed. He used all the actors and characters as well as possible, and redefined super hero movies completely, showing that they didn't need to be gritty or realistic to be incredible. Even years later, with plenty of MCU installments since, it doesn't lose its charm.

Silence of the Lambs.

Anthony Hopkins is far too talented for this world, and carried that movie on his shoulders. Although I'm not personally the biggest fan of it, it's undeniable how much of a masterpiece it was.
