How good is this MTG card called Shichifukujin Dragon actually is? That red hydra has a high CMC. and instead of firebreathing (that is a tempt boost in a form of +1/+0) that hydra get +1/+1 counters which is better. it gets 7 counters when it ETB . It removes 2 counters from it but, you get 3 counters at the cost of 3 red mana. Both the ETB and counter ability are both VERY easy to abuse. So we the high CMC makes it more EDH friendly. Modern/vintage/standard/etc. uses super low cost CMC cards. Its home is that of EDH. White Blue can blink (Remove it from the game aka banish/exile) then return to the battlefield. Simic can also blink but not as good. Unlike Yu-Gi-Oh this blink effect will trigger its ETB once again. pumping lots of mana will keep putting counters on this guy (there are cards to take advantage of such things) EDH deck that has access to red green and blue would be an great. Red Blue White could also work well. Simic LUVS counters and lots of green cards that can double counters when counters are placed. blue red, heck blue alone can cause infinite mana which means inflict counters on this hydra. Infinite blinks also means infinite counters. Counters can be moved around as well which can be helpful if you can pull it off. Lets talk about Shichifukujin Dragon.

There's not much to talk about Shichifukujin Dragon because there's only 1 copy in existence in the entire world, and it's pretty much a museum piece, so unless you have millions of dollars to try and buy it, you'll never have access to it.

And, well, it's a pretty terrible card.

terrible is a subjective opinion. Is there card(s) that may be more what some considered "competitive"? Yes. There are some upsides to the card when comparing to other cards.

why did you ask if you were just going to deny the answer?

It's bad. Some cards just suck. It's the fact of the matter. You don't need to make a moralled stand for jank.

When it's talking about the usefulness of a card it cannot be subjective. It is either good or it is not. In this case it's sheet no matter how you look at it.
