So yeah, I should probably be torn away from the Greek-deity list before I just abandon all subtlety and change my name to Bartholomew Demetrius Sceptyrannius The Third, Sworn Brother of the Nightwatch or some jazz like that

[spoiler=Goddess of Overflow - Amphitrite: Info]

WATER/Psychic-Type Tuner Effect Monster/Level 7/1500 ATK/3000 DEF

Lore: While this card is in your hand or GY, it loses 1 Level for each different Attribute among the Psychic monsters on the field and the Tuners in either GY. You can Tribute 2 monsters in your hand, including a Psychic monster or a Tuner: Special Summon this card from your GY. If this card is Special Summoned by its own effect, or Normal Summoned: You can inflict 1500 damage to your opponent, but the damage is reduced by 500 for each monster Tributed for this card's Summon, then you can Special Summon 1 Level 5 or lower banished Psychic monster, and if you do, this card loses Levels equal to that card's Level +1.

So yeah, named after a sea goddess who's got a eye on Poseidon, can reduce its Level in the hand and GY (to make that E-Tele and Telekinetic Power Well work some wonders in the mid-game, and allows you to Summon banished Psychic monsters-something both Kozmos and Merlanteans alike can take a liking to, since

A) the Level-modding doesn't work on the field, which allows for Abyssgaios shenanigans up the wazoo and/or ways to recover the oh-so-lonesome Kozmoll you banished with Allure, and

B) the ease of Summoning (and it being less prone to disruption than others, allows for you to run the board with Psychics in a way that can't be immediately abused.

I came up with this, however, by inspiration from a certain Make-It-Better card competition featuring this bad boi Ritual. Trying to make it better, I thought of finishing the cycle on Sauravis's effects by giving it an ability to freely Summon itself from the GY should a monster try to attack directly, by banishing LIGHT monsters from the GY a-la Machina Fortress (2 or more of them though, can't have this endlessly looping with Angel of Zera after all). And I started thinking, what if more cards had that type of self-sustaining cycle among their effects?

Could they bring about a new renaissance in bosses, something that does something everywhere and has a specific ease of utility of getting onto the field after its inevitably destroyed? Mayhaps. Mayhaps not. But these are one of many questions our cardmaking can answer and this is but a first salvo in this line of boss-monster work you'll see from THIS Workshop.

Until the next card, folks, reviews, revelry, you know the drill.

BD'S, signing off.

This card seems a little all over the place if I'm being honest. It doesn't quite have the same thematic loop, and I don't understand the Level loss while in the GY. Also, them WATER thematics and Poseidon and whatever, and yet it only works with Psychics and sometimes Tuners along with...Attributes? I like the creativity of the burn, but it just seems...weird.

Can't say its lack of cohesiveness lends itself to much playability. Most Psychics tend to be LIGHT, and even outside of that, with cards like Metalfoes, they tend to be singly Attributed, so you're losing most of the advantage there. Although there are plenty of Psychic Tuners, it remains narrowed down even further, so...yeah. I mean, if you play it, it won't be bad, but I wouldn't say it makes anything its played in better.

I appreciate the nod to one of my favorite Rituals, but I don't think the implementation here is good.
