Konami Judges

dizzyshot

Question

I've been working on getting all the Judge certifications that I can so I can start Judging Konami events. Thankfully today I was able to complete all the online test that I can. Got me thinking about how many members on this forum are currently judges. So I'd like to ask the community at large, are you a judge? So someone can't simply say "Yeah I'm a official judge" then I suggest dropping a COSSY ID

Don't take my word for it, but I think Krow probably has some degree of certification with Konami in terms of judging, at least given his frequent responses in the rulings thread (and something about tournaments). You may have to ask him directly about the matter to confirm this.

I'm not a Konami judge, though a big part of why I'm not is lack of COSSY ID (IDK if I had to get one for those OCG voting things a few months back and forgot it) and actual time to compete in tournaments (as I do have other commitments).

Think this belongs more in the General section as Q&A is more for site problems and whatnot, but...I guess it can stay here for time being.

My friend and I are both judges. The arguments that come of it are nothing short of insane.

As for getting the certifications themselves it's not terribly difficult, but it's hard when it comes down to getting the Policy Comprehension Certification.

Can only read the same part of the policy worded differently so many times.

I've been a judge for quite a long time actually. I recommend taking the level 2 test when you are able to travel to an event. The problem with the judge test and past ones are that they are very basic jabroni and I would say around 80% of level 1 judges are worth appealing whatever they say cause it's usually incorrect on advanced mechanics. Don't drop your COSSY ID as that is actually not to be shared. Konami has a page of all people who have passed the test online to reference some. However you can opt to not be on the online list so not every official judge will be on there.
