Here's a Rank 3 Xyz Monster that is able to banish cards from your opponent's GY, as well as their hand, but only if they have the same name. Along with that, should it be destroyed by your opponent's attack, you get to Special Summon it again, and steal your opponent's banished cards with the same name as well. It also gains ATK/DEF for each of the materials attached to it. Fun little card that any Deck that uses Level 3s can use.

2+ Level 3 monsters
Gains 300 ATK/DEF for each material attached to it. (Quick Effect): You can detach any number of materials from this card, then target the same number of cards in your opponent's GY; banish them, then look at your opponent's hand and banish any cards with the same name(s) as those targets. If this card is destroyed by battle by your opponent's attacking card: You can Special Summon this card from your GY, then you can attach as many of your opponent's banished cards with the same name to this card as material. You can only use each effect of "Soulreaper" once per turn.

I don't find the last effect clear enough. It takes banished cards with the same name as... which card? The ones banished by its first effect?

I doubt the opponent would ever attack it unless it has enough power to also handle its revived form, but it's more of a bonus effect anyway, as its first effect is the highlight.

Speaking of the first effect, it's akin to a powercrept Rhapsody in Berserk for the Rank3 pool, a bit ironic since Rank4s usually are stronger than Rank3s (e.g. Grampulse vs. Tornado Dragon), but I guess the meta can handle it at this point. Looking good. If anything, I find the name, and to a lesser extent, the typing, bland, due to the overuse of DARK/Fiend typing, but those are just nitpicks.

You take 1 card name and attach as many of those as possible, doesn't have to be the ones banished by the first effect, though that is the intention.

As for Fiend/DARK, well I did that because of the Decks that can make Rank 3s like Burning Abyss and Phantom Knights being Fiend and DARK, so that made more sense to me than other things.

I see. Then, wouldn't it be more PSCT friendly if the last effect read as something like "If this card is destroyed by battle by your opponent's attacking card: You can declare 1 card name; Special Summon this card from your GY, then you can attach as many of your opponent's banished cards with the declared name to this card as material."?

As for the typing, indeed, it can't be helped too much in some cases. DARK/Warrior could be an option judging from the artwork, but since this is a soul reaper, Fiend still makes more sense. Another option is coming up with a different and possibly more creative name for the card, but that's up to you.

Well no, the attaching is optional so that won't work, plus it is suppose to be chosen as resolution of the effect, not at activation. I could maybe say something like "If this card is destroyed by battle by your opponent's attacking card: You can Special Summon this card from your GY, then you can choose 1 of your opponent's banished cards, attach as many of your opponent's banished cards with the same name as the chosen card to this card as material."

Just sounds quite wordy to me, but I can see how my first version can be confusing.
