Aside from enabling Omega to shoot twice, provided this card points to somewhere unused, which means having a more optimal setup, the link is borderline useless. I guess if has Snow synergy, but that doesn’t mean much when you ladder Links more than Synchros.

 

The two monsters suck, the Synchro is just okay, but it’s not better than BRD or SRD, and the spell also sucks. Too much xenophobia.

 

Trap is also terrible. Bleh.

It does more than allow Omega to shoot twice, it lets it shoot once, come back in your turn, reset a mezuki, then shoot again

You know that you don’t have to shoot Omega during your turnX right?

 

Summoning Goddess before summoning Omega isn’t the easiest thing to do, so while it can let you cheat positioning, it’s really praying you have the right setup to do so... just like making her already is.

 

3x zombie or Savior + Zombie isn’t super easy to do efficiently, and it’s definitely not a card you’ll go into every game if you can’t do it consistently, because its only real purpose is synergy with Omega... but it doesn’t let t return two banished cards, so it only makes it more reactive, not proactive.

Master's kinda not that exciting tbh, but my attention was immediately drawn to Mononobu and Story. The latter I'm only interested in as a deck searcher that isn't named Solitaire and can grab things besides Spectralsword, but it might be worth noting you an discard Mezuki for it? Probably obvious, but I felt it was worth mentioning. Mononobu just makes me happy, because I like drawing cards but also because hey look we have a Shiranui waifu. Shame it can only search Spectralsword.

 

It took me a while to process what y'all were on about with the link making Omega go off several times, but tbh, I'm still not that crazy about it. Will try it out though and see what happens. Trap card is super funking meh. And that brings me to my biggest complaint about these, which is also my only major one.

 

Spectralsaga shouldn't be Level 7. In a deck where all the monsters are even levels, this is a stupid idea. Sure you can use Uni-Zombie, but if you have Uni up, odds are you summoned it with Solitaire and are already going for Omega. You could use Tatsunecro if you really want to, but is it worth it purely for Spectralsaga and one on-banish effect? I don't think so :l

 

Also, I'm shipping Mononobu and Dakki and there's nothing anyone can do to stop me.

Is there synergy between shiranui and vendread?

With the new Link, Vendreads will become the new Extra Link Terror, but that aside, you'd rather use Sucker since Vendreads would rather go solo (with the Zombie-Support brigades that include solitaire ... omg)

That's aside, the fact that Mononobu and Story being are able to SS Shiranui monsters from the deck is quite tempting, but again only on paper. Goddess is good but I'm concerned that it might cause the ban of PSYOmega. Flower Formation is ... interesting to say the least, the Tower protection is permanent so I might try that in Skull Servants lmao.

Vampire Sucker funking sucks.

 

Savior has the benefit of a (slow) mill and ability to add back Vendread Core, which is an acceptable 1-of.

 

Drawing a card in zombies is worse than a “2400” mill 1 via battle.

Link got nerfed, it is also apparently zombie synchros, so Omega playz are dead

that spell, isn't that the mayakashi monster? Is there any actual lore linking them and the shiranui monsters right now?

There were already some hints of them being linked with Shiranuis. The first was the fact that the background of "Mayakashi Revolt" is a ruinous version of the temple in "Shiranui Style Samsara".

never noticed that. kinda want the lore put up now. also liking how the spell and trap help with the zombie synergy. king of the skull shiranui is gonna be fun to test out once i get my hands on these.
