Ultimagamer Posted September 18, 2018 Report Share Posted September 18, 2018 This is something I've been curious about for a while, but am not sure how this exactly works In the extra link, you control link monsters in a "U" shape whose link markers all point to each other, making it so that your opponent cannot special summon from the extra deck since you have 2 monsters in the extra monster zones. If you were to create the extra link U, then get rid of all of the link monsters in your main monster zones ( such as summoning a monster like Destiny HERO Plasma ) would you still have an "extra link" since you have 2 monsters that were legally summoned to the extra monster zones? The Highlander Posted September 18, 2018 Report Share Posted September 18, 2018 You still have both Extra Monster Zones, as long as none of those 2 monsters leaves the field.That is pretty much how Extra Link works anyways.Though I guess this question would actually belong in the rulings section . ~~~~ Posted September 18, 2018 Report Share Posted September 18, 2018 You would be able to leave the 2 link monsters in the Extra Monster Zones without having the supporting links in the bottom, but they would no longer be considered "Extra Linked" for the purposes of cards like Topologic Gumblar Dragon.
