Can be Special Summoned (from your hand) to any of your opponent's Main Monster Zones; the controller of this card draws 1 card. You can only use this effect once per turn. If a Link monster points to this card: negate that monster's effects while face-up on the field. During your Standby Phase: lose 1000 LP or target 1 of your unused Main Monster Zones; then (if able) the targeted zone cannot be used while face-up on the field.

The Continuous effect is kinda useless though since unless you couple it up with anti Special Summon Floodgate (which probably better play than summon this card) your opponent will thank you to giving a free material and a draw (zone lock dont matter since it opened again when it become link mat)

 

the negation kinda last only a turn with same reason as above is fine though

Since the Cordyceps fungi are typically known for zombifying hosts, maybe make it so that if the monster is used as a material for Synchro, XYZ, or Link summoning, the owner of the Cordyceps monster takes control of whatever is created as a result. That would also take care of the issue of having given the opponent a link material, since they likely wouldn't be too happy to use it.
