Equip only to a Psychic monster. The equipped monster can attack twice during each of your Battle Phases. When the equipped monster attacks a Defence Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage. If the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle or by card effect, destroy this card instead.

 

So Psy Kicker is a equip spell that adds some offensive power to Psychics giving the equipped monster two attacks and piercing and can even destroy itself to protect the equipped monster.

 

In Psychic decks this card is most effective with your high ATK psychic monsters and can even work with Hyper Psychic Riser if summoned using Psychic Tracker to make its ATK 2600 where this grants it 2 attacks, piercing and one time protection.
