An archetype of WATER-Attribute Sea-Serpent-type monsters whose effects revolve around the sin of envy (i.e. your opponent controlling more monsters than you). All of the monsters have pearls embedded in various parts of their bodies.



I'm not really expecting this to be good; I just wanted to give Sea Serpents some love.



EDIT: This should probably be in Casual Multiples.

Leviabyss Epiagnatha

WATER, Sea Serpent/Effect
Cannot be Special Summoned. If you control fewer monsters than your opponent when this card is Summoned: Place Abyss Counters equal to the difference on this card. Once per turn: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls with ATK equal to or less than the number of Abyss Counters on this card x 1000; take control of it until the End Phase.

Cannot be Special Summoned. You can Summon this card in face-up Defense Position. If you control fewer monsters than your opponent when this card was Summoned: Place Abyss Counters equal to the difference on this card. Any damage you take is reduced by the number of Abyss Counters on this card x 800.

Once per turn: You can target "Leviabyss" monsters you control, up to the number of Abyss Counters on this card; they cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects until the end of your opponent’s turn.

Cannot be Special Summoned. If you control fewer monsters than your opponent when this card is Summoned: Place Abyss Counters equal to the difference on this card. Face-up monsters your opponent controls lose ATK and DEF equal to the number of Abyss Counters on this card x 500.

Looks like a serpent skeleton, similar to the skeletal designs of the Sacred Beasts. Colored black with red eyes. Represents the gas phase of water as the weakest of the trio.

Leviabyss Freezer

WATER, Sea Serpent/Effect
Cannot be Special Summoned. If you control fewer monsters than your opponent when this card is Summoned: Place Abyss Counters equal to the difference on this card. Once per turn: You can target face-up monsters your opponent controls, up to the number of Abyss Counters on this card; until the end of your opponent’s turn, those monsters cannot attack and have their effects negated.

A white serpent made of ice with blue eyes. Represents the solid phase of water as the middle of the trio.

Leviabyss Maelstrom

WATER, Sea Serpent/Effect
Cannot be Special Summoned. If you control fewer monsters than your opponent when this card is Summoned: Place Abyss Counters equal to the difference on this card. This card can make attacks on monsters up to the number of Abyss Counters on this card + 1 during each Battle Phase. If you control fewer monsters than your opponent when this card is destroyed by your opponent (by battle or card effect): You can destroy all monsters your opponent controls.

A blue serpent with green eyes. Represents the liquid phase of water as the strongest of the trio.

Extra Deck

Leviabyss Rahab
Level 12
WATER, Sea Serpent/Fusion/Effect
"Leviabyss Venomvapor" + "Leviabyss Freezer" + "Leviabyss Maelstrom"
Must be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by banishing the above cards you control. (You do not use "Polymerization".) Unaffected by other cards' effects. If you control fewer monsters than your opponent when this card is Special Summoned: Place Abyss Counters equal to the difference on this card. Once per turn: You can gain LP equal to the number of Abyss Counters on this card x 1000, then inflict that same amount as damage to your opponent.

Combination of all three phases of water. Rahab is the "demonic angel of the sea" in Hebrew folklore. Its effect displays both the life-giving and destructive aspects of water.

Spell/Trap Cards

Leviabyss Pressure
Continuous Trap
During the Standby Phase, if you control a "Leviabyss" monster and control fewer monsters than your opponent: Your opponent can only activate a number of Spell/Trap cards up to the difference this turn.
Based on the crushing pressure at the bottom of the ocean.

Death From the Depths
Counter Trap
When your opponent would Summon a monster(s) while you control a "Leviabyss" monster and control fewer monsters than your opponent: Negate the Summon, and if you do, destroy that monster. You can only activate 1 "Death From the Depths" per turn.
Based on stories of sea monsters attacking ships.

Leviabyss Submergence
Quick-Play Spell
When your opponent targets a “Leviabyss” monster(s) you control for an attack or card effect: negate the attack or activation, and if you do, destroy that card, and if you do that, banish the targeted monster(s) until the End Phase. If a monster banished by this effect had Abyss Counters before this card's activation, put the same number of Abyss Counters on it when the monster returns to the field.
Diving down with enough force to cause a tidal wave.

Leviabyss Flood
Continuous Spell
During your Start Step, if you control fewer monsters than your opponent: You can activate the following effects this turn:
• If a "Leviabyss" monster you control attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent.
• If a "Leviabyss" monster you control attacks, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step.
Destructive floods are common in mythology.

Primordial Abyss - Tehom
Field Spell
After your Normal Summon/Set, if you control fewer monsters than your opponent: You can Normal Summon/Set 1 “Leviabyss” monster (You can only gain this effect once per turn). If your opponent controls at least 2 more monsters than you do: You can Normal Summon/Set Level 5 or higher "Leviabyss" monsters without Tributing.
Tehom is the name of the primordial waters in the Bible.

Leviabyss Tannin
Trap
Banish 1 "Leviabyss" monster from your GY; Special Summon 2 "Tannin Tokens" (Sea Serpent-Type/WATER/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) to your opponent's field in Defense Position. They cannot be Tributed or used as Material. You can only activate 1 "Leviabyss Tannin" per turn.
Tannin is a monster often conflated with Leviathan and Rahab. Tannin is similar to “tanin”, which is Japanese for “other” or “outsider”, like how the tokens go to your opponent.
