Neo Space Abductor

LIGHT/Lv 6/Warrior/Fusion/Effect/2000 ATK/2000 DEF

1 “Neos”, “Neo Space” or “Neo-Spacian” monster you control + 1 “Neos”, “Neo Space” or “Neo-Spacian” monster in your hand

Must first be Special Summoned (from the Extra Deck) by Tributing the above cards in your possession. (You do not use "Polymerization".) If the effect of an opponent’s monster is activated (Quick Effect): You can banish 1 “Neos”, “Neo Space”, or “Neo-Spacian” monster from your field until your next Standby Phase; negate the activation and effect of your opponent’s monster, and if you do, banish it. You can banish this card from your GY, then target up to 2 of your banished “Neos”, “Neo Space”, or “Neo-Spacian” monsters, except "Neo Space Abductor"; Special Summon them. You can only use each effect of “Neo Space Abductor” once per turn.

I had originally designed this as a Link Monster that was also treated as a Fusion Monster, but after @@Darj made their critique, I decided to change it into an actual Fusion Monster.   Original Version can be viewed in the Spoiler below:

[spoiler=Original Version]

Neo Space Abductor

LIGHT/LINK-2/Warrior/Link/Effect/1800 ATK/Down, Left

2 monsters, including a “Neos”, “Neo Space” or “Neo-Spacian” monster(s)

This card is also always treated as a Fusion Monster. If the effect of an opponent’s monster is activated (Quick Effect): You can banish 1 “Neos”, “Neo Space”, or “Neo-Spacian” monster from your field until your next Standby Phase; negate the activation and effect of your opponent’s monster, and if you do, banish it. You can banish this card from your GY, then target up to 2 of your banished “Neos”, “Neo Space”, or “Neo-Spacian” monsters; Special Summon them. You can only use each effect of “Neo Space Abductor” once per turn.

Just thought it'd be cute to give Neos decks at least 1 Link Monster that gets around the "cannot Summon non-Fusion Monsters from the Extra Deck" restriction that a lot of the recent "Neos" support has tacked on to them.  Sure I could've made this an ACTUAL Fusion Monster with an effect that lets you Summon "Neos"-related Fusion Monsters directly to the Main Monster Zone, but what fun would THAT be?  ... then again, it could be better that way.

Anyways, critique and comment?

Quite potent card, IMO. Easy to Summon with Neo Space Connector, good stun effect that is live even by banishing itself so no further set-up required, and that last effect reminiscent of HERO The Shining is dangerous. My only issue is that maybe it shouldn't be able to Summon itself with the last effect, otherwise you can "cheat" by having only 1 target banished, banish itself as cost, and Summon both that single target and itself.

By the way, if it's always treated as a Fusion Monster, then you shouldn't be able to Summon it under the "no non-Fusions" Summon locks. You are better off with a "Cyber Dragon  clause", that treats it as a Fusion only while it is on the field or GY.

You've got a point about it technically being able to SS itself, now that you mention it--that was something I didn't quite think about.  So, perhaps I'll make it so that the SS Effect Summons the monsters in Defense Position, keeping this from being a viable target.

And as for your second point: guess this means my other hypothesis about making this a Fusion Monster instead may be true after all.

Oh, hold on. Sorry, I got it backwards: the "no non-Fusions" restrictions prevents you from Summoning it if it is a Link Monster, but with the Harpie Lady clause of being treated as a Fusion anywhere, then you should be able to Summon it under such condition with no problems. In other words, the previous Link form was fine, you only had to put the clause in parenthesis.

Actually, I wouldn't be so sure, since it's treated as both a Link and a Fusion, and such clause has no precedence. Still, going for a Fusion is a less ruling-conflicting route.
