Welcome to my 10 Nights of Fright-bit of an emergency to start it a day late, but this first tale will happily compensate for that delay.

[spoiler=Rubik's Regret: Info]

Ritual Spell Card

Lore: You can use this card to Ritual Summon a FIRE Ritual Monster that is either in your hand, GY or Pendulum Zone. You must also roll a six-sided die and pay LP equal to the die result x N00, where N = the Level of the Ritual Monster you Ritual Summon. You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 Rock Pendulum Monster you control; place 1 Rock Pendulum Monster in your Extra Deck with a Level equal to or twice the Level of its Pendulum Scales. You can only use this effect of "Rubik's Regret" once per Duel.

[spoiler=Rubik the Brazen Braintrust: Info]

FIRE/Rock-Type Ritual Pendulum Effect Monster/Level 8/2900 ATK/200 DEF

Scales: 4/4

Pendulum Effect: During the Main Phase, if this card was activated this turn: You can target 1 "Rubik's Regret" in your GY; add it to your hand, then you can activate 1 Ritual Spell from your hand. When you Summon exactly 1 Rock monster: You can send this card to the GY; add 1 Rock monster from your Deck to your hand with a higher Level than the Summoned monster. You can only use each of these effects of "Rubik the Brazen Braintrust" once per turn.

Lore: You can Ritual Summon this card with "Rubik's Regret". Must be Ritual Summoned, and then can be Pendulum Summoned. Destroy any monster that activates its effect that Summons or destroys a monster(s) when that effect resolves. If a Rock monster you control would be targeted by a card or effect (Quick Effect): You can negate that activation, and if you do, destroy that card if it is a monster, also place this card in your Pendulum Zone.

This chilling tale of golem generation began with Rubik, an ancient inventor whose puzzles and tales of conquest gained the ear of countless others. One such entity was a rather chilling sphinx from another dimension-a sphinx who had two questions in mind.

As Rubik would tragically find out, however, only one was meant for his ears, and it was a question best left unanswered, let alone futilely so...

....the question being "Why should I spare your life?"

His screams were buried under a tomb of rock, made specifically to pierce his quizzical brain. Soon, when it rose as one, the stones surrounding the dying architect's brain turned its synapses toward the answer of that sinister sphinx's second question, one that hundreds of thousands would be sacrificed before nuclear fire put out his own.....

...that one being "Why should humanity not fear the monuments to their ignorance?"

And so ended the tale of another dimension of dueling monsters brought low by interaction with another, a far too often overlooked fate of what such crossovers actually entail to those unprepared to handle their wrath.

Till the next card scare folks-reviews, revelry, you know the drill.

BD'S, signing off.

These look really good. I like a lot this dual-role they have, in the sense that they provide set-up support to most Rocks in general even if you don't intend to actually Ritual Summon, but if you get the chance to do so, you may as well, since the floodgate-ish stun effect of the monster is nastily sweet. Or you can focus on the Ritual Summoning part by running Ritual support like Impcantantions, Manju/Senju, etc. It's the way I wish Sauravis worked.

No need for the OPD clause on the Ritual Spells' GY effect, IMO. Searching for a scale shouldn't be terribly overpowered for nowadays standards.

If anything, I would suggest to make it Level7, if only to grab it with the regular Preparation of Rites xD

Also I appreciate that you went for an underused typing combination. You don't see many FIRE/Rock monsters around. Also don't think I didn't notice that 200 DEF on a FIRE monster. Although as a Ritual Pendulum, it cannot benefit from support like Firedog, and unless you Xyz Summon with it, it won't benefit form Rekindling either.

Regarding the card text, unsure about 2 things:

"When this card is activated" is a condition that I have yet to see on a Pendulum Effect. IDK exactly why Konami has not printed anything like that yet, but I guess there should be a card mechanical reason for that. Still, just to be safe, I suggest to use Monekyboard's condition, instead.

"and then can be Pendulum Summoned" has no precedence either. AFAIK it shouldn't be needed, and a "Must first be Ritual Summoned..." should suffice. Besides, if you were to Ritual Summon it and then get it back to the hand, pretty sure you wouldn't be able to Pendulum Summon it from hand anyway, because it got into a "non-public territory" where you can't prove the Ritual Monster you attempt to Summon is the same one that you Ritual Summoned before.

The "Must be _____ Summoned, and then can be Pendulum Summoned" caveat was first listed on Odd-Eyes Venom Dragon (the legal version) and I simply extrapolated from there. This did have precedent as my first Pendulum Ritual Monster that needed another Ritual Spell to Summon (I've had previous Pendulum Rituals, event in the first 10 Nights of Fright set.) It's mainly there to keep the player from cheating it out by funneling it into the Extra Deck with, say, Electrumite.

The Level 7 caveat does seem okay though, I will put that into consideration. Besides, this lowers the LP payment to bring this out with Rubik's Regret. And I'll change the Pendulum Effect by your specs, as well.

I see. Didn't recognize the clause and when I searched for cards with it, no card showed up, huh.
