For They Shall Inherit the Earth (10 Nights of Fright 2018: Card #5)

Decided to take homage to a rather skilled writer on another forum. Goes by the name as Creepy_Pasta_Reader on iFunny.co and even though it's not Christmastime, it's about the Meek; after all, they're rather lucky these days....

[spoiler=For They Shall Inherit the Earth: Info]

Field Spell Card

Lore: Once per turn: You can banish 2, 4 or 6 Tuners and/or Synchro Monsters from your field and/or the GYs with different Attributes; Special Summon 1 "Meek Token" (Psychic/DARK/Level 6/ATK 2000/DEF 0) for every 2 monsters banished by this effect, but they cannot be Tributed, also you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of the turn. This card gains these effects, depending on the number of different Attributes among your banished monsters.

• 3+: This card and all Tokens on the field are unaffected by monster effects.
• 6+: If exactly 1 player takes damage from a battle involving an attacking Token, that player loses the Duel.

Connective story's right here:

Yes, it's actually a bit dated-I originally had plans for releasing this at the ORIGINAL 10 Nights of Fright competition, but was swayed from it by the surprise entry of Pumpkimperial. However, terrors like this are timeless, and the constant revisions I gave to this card should be worth displaying now rather than never.

Plus, Alternate Winning Conditions based on TOKENS is definitely a new take on an old classic that the Nights of Fright are known for. So THREE CHEERS FOR THE MEEK.

Till the next card, folks.

BD'S, signing off.

Looks like it will be derailed into an OTK by milling Tuners and possibly Synchros, search this with Terraforming, etc. then banish 6 Attributes, and either clear the opponent's board or enhance the Token with a direct-attacking effect for game. You could play it generically in most Synchro decks but most likely you are better off with an OTK strategy. Besides, if you need these Tokens for Synchro laddering, Malicious may be a more appealing option since it requires only 1 copy in the GY to take off, and doesn't limit you to Synchro Summons. If you don't want this to be an OTK, you may have to limit it somehow, or remove the alternative win condition along the "only Synchros" lock.

I'll try to limit this card then-the main deal with this card was 'initiate alt. win condition with Token', the challenge.

Until then....

I ain't scared of no (post-Halloween) bumping

Doesn't sound as much of a challenge when you can pack the deck with deck-thinning power plus the Bamboo Swords, since the Cursed Bamboo Sword conveniently would enable the Token to attack directly.

Indeed-but then the issue becomes getting 6 Attributes worth of banished monsters-especially since getting them in the GY is enough of a struggle that Elemental Grace Doriado didn't take off.

I would make the case that Grace Doriado doesn't see play mostly because it is not good enough. Considering that Knightmares are a thing, getting 6 Attributes in the GY shouldn't be that difficult. Well, getting a LIGHT from Gryphon may not be as practical, and TCG cannot get WIND because of Goblin's ban. Regardless, it could be worth it for this card, since unlike Doriado, it's a win condition.
