{written.} Equilibrium Dragon

So here we are, the first written card I have produced since my return! I apologise if the OCG is a little off, its been about ten years since I have designed anything YU-GI-OH related so I have been reading zaziuma's thread on repeat (fantastic thread BTW!)

So lets get to it!

Equilibrium Dragon

Level 10

EARTH/Dragon/Fusion

Sun Dragon Inti + Moon Dragon Quilla

ATK 3000 DEF 3000

Must first be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by sending the above cards you control into the GY. (You do not use "Polymerization".) This card cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When this card is Special Summoned: destroy monsters on your opponent’s side of the field until there is 1. While this card is face-up on the field each player can only control 1 face-up monster. If this card is targeted by your opponents Card Effect, activate the following:

Banish 1 ‘Sun Dragon Inti’ or 1 ‘Moon Dragon Quilla’ from your GY to negate the activation of a Card Effect that targets this card.

When this face-up card leaves the field; Special Summon 1 ‘Sun Dragon Inti’ or ‘Moon Dragon Quilla’ from your GY.

Reason for creating: I absoloutely loved these cards when they first came out in the OCG, even if they were completely shut down when banished! The recycle effect where I could always have a monster with at least 2500ATK on my field at most times made me really enjoy playing around with their terrible tuner monsters! The anime also did the cards justice and in my opinion was one of the best duels in the whole of 5Ds!!!

Card effectiveness: I have been away from yugioh for probably about 5 years, although I do still by a couple of packs a month in the hope I get an insane pull (never happens) and I have noticed that quite alot of cards shut down monster effects. Equilibrium dragon is able to fuel your graveyard for the sun / moon combo should this card be detroyed and it also negates effects that target this card, at the risk off losing one of the components to the combo (kind of balancing out the effect) I have added the only 1 face-up monster ruling as yes; it shuts down most link etc summons and could be OP but its ATK and DEF stats are balanced enough to make up for it (IMO) It is also added because of its name 'Equilibrium' (An Equilibrium balance of the Sun and Moon)

Please critique accordingly and be as honest as you like; criticism for me is a way of improving!

Hope you are all having a good day!

Expanding on what Horu said, the default PC theme has a dark background while the mobile theme has a light background. The card is difficult to read on mobile because of this, so it is often best to just use the default text color (as it adjusts to theme).

Anyways, a Fusion of the Inti/Quill a Synchros. Definitely interesting. I've always liked those Synchros, so it's nice to see a bigger boss for 'em.

It's actually pretty solid if you can summon it since it is really difficult to out this with one monster (especially since this has targeting protection). However, the problem is summoning it in the first place (just because of how the Synchros work).

You might want to also rework the text for the targeting protection. Right now, it's mandatory so you can't choose what to negate and so it can be played around fairly easily. Something like: "If this card is targeted by your opponents Card Effect: you can banish 1 "Sun Dragon Inti" or "Moon Dragon Quilla" from your GY; negate that effect" might be a bit better (though the grammar is probably still off).

While it is a cool concept don't get me wrong... It is excruciatingly difficult to get out as both Inti and Quilla have very specific Tuners they need to use in order to get them out (Supay and Fire Ant Ascator), and MR4 is especially going to hurt your ability to get both Inti and Quilla out efficiently.

The monster wipe effect upon summoing is fine... Consider how hard this thing is to Summon. So not much to say there.

Despite how strong the Kaiser Colosseum-esque effect may be (each player can only control 1)... It also hinders you as well which could put in the position where your opponent just keeps Setting monsters until they have solution to getting rid of this. Not really a good pay off... Given the nature of this, I would reluctantly (which is to say don't do this) go ahead and say make it 1 sided: make your opponent only able to control 1, even if that has nothing to do with "Equilibrium".

The targeting protection is also really counterproductive as you are essentially banishing the Dragons you can float into if this just so happens to die. And even if you did banish just one... You will be missing out on the classic Sun Dragon Inti/ Moon Dragon Quilla floating loop that you could fall back into.

The one other thing (aside from the monster wipe) that I can agree with is the open floating capability... Because at least it does something, and stays true to what 2 dragons were about.

I don't know I feel the card overall needs to be reworked. Considering the floating happens regardless of how it leaves the field, I would say get rid of the protection effect and give it something else... Maybe say give it piercing damage and higher ATK, like say 3500 - 4000. That way you can actually make progress while locking your opponent and yourself with the Kaiser Colosseum effect. Yeah it would be near one-sided, but considering how many hoops you have to jump through to get this out: I'd say it is well-deserved one-sidedness.

@ - My apologies! I have only used this site on PC and didn't even know the mobile themes were different! (thank you @@FLASH flyer sakura, for once again doing me a massive favour!)

Sounds perfect  I will edit it in! OCG is certainly a lot different from back in the day so thank you for taking the time to amend it!

@@bgm - Thank you for the opinion! I will be ammending the effect to discard one card to negate, to allow the recycle effect of the sun moon dragon to continue! I will also change it to control 1 monster keeping the equilibrium theme. as I am doing this I will keep the ATK / DEF the same to keep the balence of changing this effect!

Thanks all for your opinions and taking the time to amend/ help with this!
