[Field Spell]


FIRE monsters you control gain 100 ATK for each Pyro monster in  your GY. Once per turn: You can excavate the top 4 cards of your Deck, you can send any of the excavated Pyro monsters to the GY, also place the remaining cards in the bottom of your Deck in any order. Once per turn: if you control no monsters, Special Summon 1 Pyro monster from your hand or GY.

 

[spoiler=Concept + Wordplay]For those of you may not know, "Mt." is the short hand notation of mountain. The Field Spell is suppose to be an active volcano... Yeah, I know Konami already took the pleasure of making Molten Destruction http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Molten_Destruction , but it is outdated, and I want to help out Pyro monsters in particular while keeping the motif. The excavation effect, and Special Summon Pyro effect is suppose to represent the occasional eruptions.

Wordplay:

(Magma - last "ma") + (Igneous - "ig") = Portmanteau

To be fair, all of those old Attribute boosting Fields are outdated now and Pyros usually got short end of the stick otherwise.

 

As far as this goes, the boost is generally fine if you can mill enough of them or get them in GY fast enough to make a difference. This card's excavation thing sorta helps them in conjunction with the revival effect, but that's it. Other problem is what Pyros are even worth using or can be revived (Infernal Flame Emperor, y u only NS'able?) As far as the stuff you linked to are concerned with this, they could use a bit of support here and there. Not enough to push them to modern levels of playability, but getting there.

Well they certainly could use more defining members in their cardpool... Sounds like something to work towards in the future. But, I can acknowledge, but a few Pyros that may do a thing or two with what this card provides:

Well, Pyro doesn't have many options that have made it into competitive (if any). So this card seems fine for the most part. You may want to put a clause that you can't Special Summon other monsters for the rest of the turn except FIRE or Pyro monsters or something like that though. And up to 4 cards? Sounds kind of like Royal Firestorm Guards. I guess another card you can use with this is Pyrorex, as you can potentially dump most of the monsters necessary to Summon him with this card. Just two cards I wanted to point out outside of the examples you and Sakura gave. Also Terraforming target for what it's worth.
