Hey guys~

 

So I'm here to post some cards and such.  These cards are modeled after friends and important people to me from my life, trying to be representative of what they've meant to me.  That's kind of what I'm looking to do here is show off a bit of a passion project, even if I'm not regularly updating.

 

[spoiler=Einherjar?  What's that mean?] In Norse mythology, the einherjar Old Norse "single or once fighters" are those who have died in battle and are brought to Valhalla by valkyries.pronounced “ane-HAIR-yar

 

[spoiler=Why hero?  It's not compatible with HERO support and we have a lot of those already.]  You're right! It's not. Why indeed? Honestly I just really love Heroism and the ideal of what they embody.  I know the HERO archetype is already a good embodiment of the ideal, but I wanted a bit of a different aesthetic from the jumpsuited superhero.  I feel its appropriate to apply the term to those who have meant this much to me, and it serves as a bit of a tribute in that sense. Sorry fam, I just really like the term.

"Hey guys, Kailyn here.  Made some cards for old times sake.  

 

Anyway, making this archetype in mind that chances are it'd be running key staples like Solemn Warning, Twin Twister, Instant Fusion, etc.

 

This set does contain a Dark Synchro card despite it not being a real card type, summoning method is literally subtraction instead of addition but is otherwise the same as summoning a Synchro Monster.

 

Open to suggestions, the set is modeled after the Odd-Eyes / Pendulum Magicians / D/D/D sets, with access to all summoning methods.  

 

Set is still a work in progress.  Intentions to add cards that search Einherjar Hero cards, Graveyard based effects, Banished based effects, and the ability to send face-up Extra Deck Pendulum Einherjar Hero monsters to the graveyard to be implemented.  Deck's primary weaknesses are going to be to Special Summon locks Vanity's ANYTHING, Royal Oppression, Archlord Kristiya, Mass removal Dark Hole, Raigeki, Bottomless, Torrential, LINK mechanics Design basis is accounting for new Extra Monster Zone rules, but the Design basis is primarily focused on Legacy-Era.  A few cards will exist that help with these weaknesses, but would not be spread throughout the archetype. The Ritual Monster and spell are to be searchable by the archetype support so that they are not dead or out of place cards.

 

HERO support cards are incompatible with this set due to "Einherjar Hero" not having "HERO" in all caps.  While later versions of Elemental Heroes got an errata to reflect this, this set is not meant to mix with them."

The choice was made to not create a dark tuner, because there were not very good Dark Tuners nor support for Dark Tuners in the actual game.  The easiest way to make Dark Synchro not god awful short of making every card broken is to allow it to simply be the reverse summon mechanic of Synchro.

You can Overlay banished "Einherjar Hero" monsters to Xyz Summon 1 "Einherjar Hero" Xyz monster.  If you control no monsters, you can use face-up "Einherjar Hero" Pendulum monsters in your Extra Deck as material.  You can banish this card from your GY and target 1 Xyz Monster you control or in your GY; Xyz Summon 1 "Einherjar Hero" Xyz monster from your extra deck with a rank higher than the targeted monster, attach it to that monster Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on the Summoned Monster..  When this card is sent to the GY, you can add 1 "Gate" Quick-Play spel, except "Einherjar Xyz Gate"l from your deck to your hand. You can only activate 1 "Einherjar Xyz Gate" per turn.

Frankly, I would love to say more and give you some proper criticism, but I'm a returning player so my grasp on proper power level and all these new mechanics is still a bit too lacking for me to do that. Still, they look generally pretty neat and if nothing else sound like proper yugioh cards. Plus I like some of the references you got there, like a certain useless water goddess XD
