Shockstars

This thread is for Casual Card singles; if you want to post multiple cards, you go to Casual Multiples.

I'll give you my two cents on these cards still.

I've edited some of the card descriptions that needed them.

Shockstar Roadie:

During your Main Phase, you can send this face-up card to the GY. When this card is sent to the GY: Special Summon it with one of the following effects. You can only use 1 effect of "Shockstar Roadie" once per turn:

- Banish this card, and if you do, add 1 "Shockstar" card from your Deck to your hand.

- Banish this card face-down, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "Shockstar" monster with 1700 or less DEF from your hand or GY, except "Shockstar Roadie".

So the card is basically a free Summon from the hand, Graveyard or Deck. It's alright. It's a shame I can't find of a quick way to set up a Synchro Summon, considering the two monsters evade each other.

Shockstar RoseBlade

If this card was added to your hand by the effect of a "Shockstar" card: You can Special Summon this card (from your hand). If this card is Special Summoned, it gains the following effect:

- Once per turn, you can send 1 "Shockstar" Spell/Trap Card from your field to the Graveyard to destroy 1 Set card your opponent controls.

Much less flattering than the other monster. While the card can be Special Summoned by the search ability of "Shockstar Roadie", it's ability to destroy a Set card of your opponents at the cost of destroying one of your own "Shockstar" does nothing to synergize with your other cards. While the Synchro can flip a monster face-down, destroying the Spell kind of just harms yourself, considering there are other cards that can do better.

Sold Out Show

For every monster that your opponent controls, all "Shockstar" monsters you control gain 300 ATK and 500 DEF. If this card is sent to the GY by an opponent's card effect, you can banish 1 Set card your opponent controls.

Not too effective. There are Fields that provide a higher ATK boost and lower DEF loss than your Field Spell. The card actually supports a defensive play-style, which isn't wanted for many Decks. What really bothers me, however, is how the card can't even synergize with your "Shockstar RoseBlade", since the banishing effect only activates when sent to the GY by an opponent's effect.

Shockstar Headliner

This card loses 100 DEF for each Spell/Trap Card you control when this card is Synchro Summoned. Once per turn, you can send 1 "Shockstar" monster from your hand to the GY: Set 1 monster your opponent controls until the end of your next turn.

Is missing the Synchro Summoning requirements.

I feel like the ATK is too high for a card that only loses DEF in the 100's when Summoned. So, the effect is lackluster. Since you rely so heavily on "Shockstar Roadie" for your retrieval, the uses of this card's effect is limited, but it would be better to use a Book of Moon, considering it keeps the monster Set without a time limit. You could make it to where it Sets the monster and the monster cannot be Flip Summoned, and then add a time limit as to how long it can. Basically, needs less ATK, more effect.

I suggest that you edit some of the cards on the list and use the notes I've given to make them synergize more fluently. From the cards I can already see, I'm guessing that there may be a trend of destroying Set cards, and if you are, continue to add more effects that compliment that strategy.

Thanks for the input! It's my first real attempt at creating custom cards, so any input is appreciated.

Roadie: most of your cards lack certain clauses. Like this card "sent to GY" effect is lacking the initial place where you able to send it. can it be send from your hand? Field? Anywhere? Other than that unless there another interaction you wanna put on this card both search effect seems pretty low in advantage value since its either -1 or +0 luckily there's Roseblade for actual +1

Roseblade: S/T sac for set pop is really underwhelming. Unless you face like Flip deck that isn't Shaddoll this effect would'nt help your plays

Show: Damn that ATK boost worries me. The Synchro weird ATK drop effect not gonna cut down either. Banish effect when pop is okay. Overall its not OP but kinda too much

Headliner: i really want to know thid archetype goals, there so many gimmick that doesnt really mesh with each other. This guy here has weird attack reduction with contradicting wording (permanent reduction that last only the turn this card is synchro summon) Set effect is not gonna do much these days
