wtf konami

why would you make a worse painful decision

i meant it has no hopt and can be run in addition to decision, it is much less techable, and requires you to have the normal monster out and your opponent to have made plays

it doesnt help that most normal monster play is in the deck/gy, so hitting the first and not supplying the other is really annoying

delivery is even more terrible, normal monsters are some of the worst bricks imaginable. if it had some boon on its effect after it shuffled, then yeah, coolio, but as a trap that deck thickens...wtf???

I think you're overreacting.  These aren't meant to be good.  How powerful did you expect a card called "Delivery from the Farm" to be?  Let 'em have some fun.

If I need to talk about application... Well, I suppose for Opening of Souls, the deck that'd get the most benefit would be Ojamas since you can banish recycle them for some benefit, but eh... even then, Decision is probably better there as well (since it loads the Grave for Ojamassimilation).

I dunno, some of these silly things I can just appreciate just for the sake of silliness (Nanana and Broken Bamboo Sword come to mind).  But really, how can you not like a couple potato chips that are as lazy as you normally are when eating potato chips?

The Normal Monster I can appreciate. What I can't appreciate is how bad these cards are. They aren't even viable in a rogue format in any rogue, as there is plenty of Normal Support which does a far better job at whatever these cards do. Delivery from the farm has condition for crying out loud. Even if it gave a draw 1 and didn't need a Normal Monster to activate it would still be terrible, but at least it would make the aforementioned card playable.

This isn't fun. Just bad. This is worse than all of the Salamngreat cards we've been getting. This is worse than pack filler, and the Trap would've been bad in the original format 15 years ago. As a Normal Monster player, I am appalled that Konami can get away with making trash like this.

Its hilarious how Potato and Chips are pretty much the card equivalent of these characters...

Still looking at the Spell and Trap the only place I feel they would fit in best would be Ojama's as 3 of their main deck monsters are all Normal Monsters which with 3 copies of each gives you 9 in total for being able to play Opening of Souls.

At the very least with Opening of Souls, that one Banish Fish Counter Trap card http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Oh_F!sh!can be live by just choosing all Fish, Aqua, or Sea Serpent Norms. And it can pair well with Chaos Zone http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Chaos_Zone  ( Yeah I know nothing competitive or amazing, but... that is what to expect) I just wish your opponent didn't have to control anything to activate it though... That is a bit messy to work with.

Hope I'm not beating the dead horse too much, but I agree, these look subpar. Even the vanilla looks underwhelming considering they have printed vanillas with better stats, namely Bunilla.

IDK what to expect from these. On one hand, I kinda expect them to surprise us with insane support for this set, and on the other, they could just leave it like that and call it a day.

Opening of Souls is amazing, I don't care what anyone else says. Search a Normal Monster and banish 4 from your Deck? No hard-once-per-turn? There's got to be something silly you can combo that with.

Nothing yet, maybe in the future. Remember, you need to control a Normal Monster and your opponent needs a monster to, meaning its dead Turn 1.

My main question is what you are running for this card; if you run 6 Normal Monsters (the absolute mimum) there's about the same chance of you opening 2 Normal Monsters as there is opening 1 of these, and if you do, you brick. Also, if you don't open some means of Summoning a Normal Monster, you also brick. Even then, assuming it all goes well, you are doing all of this for searching 1 normal monster and losing the other 5.

I found that these cards are inspired on a potato chip brand in Japan,Calbee,  and they may actually be distributed in potato chip products, along reprints of protagonist-associated cards.

[spoiler=Reprints]

Dark Magician
Dark Magician Girl
Dark Magic Attack
Dark Burning Magic
Elemental HERO Flame Wingman
Polymerization
Skydive Scorcher
Junk Synchron
Speed Warrior
Junk Warrior
Scrap Fist
Number 39: Utopia
Rising Sun Slash
Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon
Spiral Flame Strike
Linkuriboh
Decode Talker

No wonder the new cards are this lackluster, would be silly to see YGO players hoarding on potato chip products to stash valuable cards xD

Although, if I was in Japan I would buy chips more frequently for the chances for Linkuriboh or Decode Talker.

How powerful did you expect a card called "Delivery from the Farm" to be?

this point doesn't seem valid when there is a slightly broken card themed around lawn care.

Anyway. Opening of Souls seems fine, aside from the fact that you need to run at least 5 normal monsters for it to be live. That part sucks. But honestly, if you get the monster you want, the rest is just deck thinning. Seems like it could have some potential in decks that run more than 2 metalfoes in triplicate.

Other cards are filler.

If junk food is bad for you. Why would you put it in your deck? These cards, like junk food, provide not possible healthy benefits to any playstyle, outside of maybe igknights, metalfoes, and ojamas,

I prefer not to make hasty judgment, but did you just insult my Ojama-Exodia turbo deck?

The spell can search exodia skrub

Your deck will gain weight under the calories of the potato & chips build, slowly collapsing under it's own weight until you are forced to remove the junk food from your deck.

please don't judge my lifestyle choices

You need to check your privilege #basta

Your lifestyle choices are what lead to this. put the bag down and let the deck go. there are no viable options that wouldn't be filled with healthier alternatives. Have you tried baobaboon? It's a great source of fiber, and it keeps your deck lean and fit. instead of cloggy and bloated like chips support would do.

There's Plant Eater, Firegrass, Mushroom Man, and around 3 OCG exclusive EARTH Level 2 Plant Normal Monsters, which include "ATK = DEF" and "ATK > DEF". If they are gonna make a low Level Plant vanilla, I would have liked them to fill a different niche. This doesn't even get Tuner treatment or Fusion Material support like others.

I would have made it a WIND because potato chip bags are full of air. That would have been enough of a change for me to try to do something with it.

Opening of Souls sounds fun enough. I will probably try a combo with Parallel World Fusion just for lulz.

Or most likely "Fish and Kicks" as a generic "banish any 1 card on the field".

The card has flavor behind it too. The potato opened the bag wrong and wasted most of the chips, maybe grabbing one or two. Just like how the user could only catch 1 of the vanillas.

Delivery from the Farm makes me think of all the bad plays I still can't make:
-It doesn't let you put them at the top/bottom as you wish so no combo with Underdog or anything of the sort.

-It's a Normal Trap so it's not gonna be ready in time for the most part.
-It doesn't look healthy. It doesn't give you gains! In fact it only gets you fatter. How about a single draw of LP gain or something? Are they giving those potatoes for free?

-If "Opening of Souls" wasn't a thing, it could get away with adding the 3 targets to the hand, but Exodia exists and I'm starting to wish it didn't.
