New Section Coming Soon

As of now, Events tend to go into the News or somewhere like General or Polls. With the amount of work that people are willing to put into these sorts of things, I think making an Events forum, probably below Introductions, could be beneficial.

It could also have its own subforum for planning, which we could make an Event Planner group for use while they're working on an event. Would obviously come with asking for confidentiality, as not to spoil events coming up for other users, while also allowing more input from other event planners that they may or may not normally interact with.

The YCM Awards, the YCM Member Brawl, Easter, and Halloween are pretty much guaranteed, so it's not like we're starving for events to fill it. This may also encourage more events to happen, and/or incorporating smaller events into it, such as the Anime Secret Santa.

This will be implemented shortly, but any feedback on placement/other ideas to be implemented in regards to this section are welcome.

It seems like a good idea and would help homogenize topics better.

Not sure what there is to discuss about it however

Would be nice if regular members could post to suggest events for example

I was thinking about the idea of an Interest Check section, similar to OOC for RP... And this could also be worked into there, yeah.

Sounds good to me.

I was pondering if event planning could instead be done off-site like through Discord and whatnot if it's going to be hidden from the YCM public anyway, but I do like the idea of using an Event Section for Interest Checks and suggestions as well, and it helps with justifying this initiative.

The logic of discord works for anything. There's no harm to having both, especially since posts made on the forum are more easily accessible for referring to later.
