Trap Monster Reborn

Continuous Trap Card

 

Target 1 Continuous Trap Card in your Graveyard that can be Special Summoned as a monster; Special Summon it, and if you do, while this card is face-up on the field, that card cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects that destroy Spell/Trap Cards. If the targeted monster leaves the field: Destroy this card. If this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 Continuous Trap Card in your Graveyard; add it to your hand.

If this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can add 1 Continuous Trap Card from your Graveyard to your hand.

 

As it stands this effect seems to suggest the card can loop itself back from the grave (since it enters the graveyard before returning a continuous trap card from it). I'm no expert, but I think that should probably be corrected.

I disagree personally. Although Konami would probably add such a restriction if they made it, I don't think it matters if you can select this card to add back to your hand. You still have to set the trap before you can activate it. If you have to wait a turn to activate, let it get destroyed, add it back to your hand, set it and wait AGAIN, it's probably not OP to let it loop itself really. Paleozoic is the best (and possibly only) Trap Monster deck, and those cards only get effects when you activate them as trap cards, so its not like you could abuse Dinomischus or anything.

Looks decent enough as a way to Summon a Trap monster right away. However, as a Trap itself you still have to wait a turn to activate it in normal circumstances. It can be improved, IMO. You can try with a condition to activate it from hand, assuming you want to keep it as Cont. Trap to be consistent with the Trap monsters. You can make the float more flexible as well, like making it trigger whenever it is sent from the field to the GY. That way it would be compatible when Tributed for a True Draco, used as fodder for Magic Planter, etc. The protection effect can be improved as well, by making the monster unaffected by all effects that would affect or apply on Spell/Traps, not only destruction.

 

Text fix with some of my suggestions:

When that monster leaves the field, destroy this card. If this card is sent to the GY: You can target 1 Continuous Trap in your GY; add it to your hand.

 

 

As for a condition to activate it from hand, it could be something like "If you control a Set Spell/Trap Card or face-up Continuous Trap, you can activate this card from your hand", just to give an example.
