When this card is Link Summoned: it gains the following effects depending on the Attributes of its Link Materials.

* LIGHT or DARK: When this card or a monster it points to destroys a monster by battle, increase your LP equal to the destroyed monsters ATK.

* FIRE or EARTH: This card, also monster this card points to gain ATK equal to the number of monsters in your GY with different Attributes x 300.

* WATER or WIND: When a this card or a monster it points to battles an opponents monster, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until after damage calculation.

So Apana Makama is a Link 2 that when Link Summoned gains effects based on the monsters it used to Link Summon where these effects are both applied to itself and monsters it points to where it can either grant life when you destroy an opponents monster, increase the ATK of your monsters or finally make it so your opponent cannot activate effects when your monsters attack.
