Pornhub sets the example

We live in a world where Pornhub sets an example. A website dedicated to a practice looked down upon by so many, has done so much over the years. I want to make a small list of things that set them above other streaming services (I understand sites like Youtube aren't competitors) and showcases what a great site it is.

-Allowing optimizable platforms for the visually impaired

-Creating a sexual education guide to people over the age of 65, teaching them how they can do it safely in their old age

-Giving away $25,000 scholarships for students to pursue a career of their choice.

-Donating to panda conservation charities

-Working with the Movemeber Foundation

-Raising awareness to spray and neuter your pets to prevent over population in shelters

-Saving the Whales by donating to The Moclips Cetological Society

-Teaming up with Christy Mack to create a clothing lined to fight domestic violence

-Raising more awareness for Testicular Cancer

-Planting a tree for every 100 views on videos from their Big Dick category on Arbor day

You don't usually hear about this, because that's not what people think of Pornhub. They see it as a place to jerk off a quick one or that its complete sin, and while I wouldn't say you're wrong about your statements, you're wrong about thinking that's all Pornhub is.

Why do I want to bring this up? Why am I going on and on about how amazing Pornhub is? I'll tell you why. Because sex work is the most demonized career path in the world. They're called sluts, whores, even criminals. They don't get any respect, why?

Recently there was a fiasco about reporting sex workers to the IRS, saying how they didn't file tax returns. Now I'm sure there were people that were a bit more shady than others... but reporting someone to the IRS because of their occupation? People protest abortion clinics, people protest slaughter houses, yes I know. But has there been a case where they were reported to the government?

I'm not here to argue, or pick a fight. I want to have an actual discussion about this because its something I feel pretty passionate about. Why are sex workers treated as if their careers make them any less of a human?

pornhub has been shown to be really good at putting their money where their mouth is on serious issues no pun intended, and demonstrates far more customer service than most other streaming sites. that's been a fact for years now. they've been on the side of the average joe on most issues, supporting freedoms and against restrictions. many porn sites seem to be like that from what i've heard. also, the demonizing of porn sites has dropped considerably over the years, outside of a couple places. (places like tinder still catch sheet, but pretty sure that's due to the overall rise in STI rates lately) dudes at my job will actively talk about (and in one case, watch) pornhub at work. it's one of the wierdest things. the site that was demonized a while back has been recognized as one of the better things to come inside of the internet.

side note, not to get too much into it, but the report a thot to the irs thing wasn't (completely) for their occupation, it was more for the fact that they touted one thing, and yet bragged about doing the complete opposite. aka, bragged about dodging taxes, so the trend came about that they'd start reporting them to the irs for tax evasion. nothing major is likely to come of it unless the amount they're dodging by is over 1000. of a number.
