Fate Set

Gilzeb

Recommended Posts

My first attempt at using this Card Creator.
Decided to go for some Fate cards, mostly based around Servants and support, even though I imagine it's been done a million times before.

The idea is that they're Ritual Monsters (=costly) with powerful effects, but that they're too slow and clunky to be useful on their own. So you need support to speed them up and actually get them rolling.
If they end up destroyed, just feed their corpses to Hungry Mainyu and summon their alter versions. I imagine these cards won't be anywhere near meta-worthy, but it's just for fun.
Any corrections or suggestions are more than welcome.

This is the first batch of just over 60 cards, mainly the servants from FSN. I might do more at some point.

EDIT: Re-made them in the neo card maker. I miss that sweet Ultra Rare name template though. :D
EDIT2: Added card texts to the pictures. Sometimes the text has been updated but the old picture of the card still shows. I'll fix that. At some point.

[spoiler=Grail & Grail support]CrQeqPP.jpg
Lesser Grail Homunculus
When this card is Normal Summoned, Special Summoned or flipped face-up: Add 1 "Grail" card from your Deck to your hand. If this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can add 1 "Grail" card from your Graveyard to your hand.

Lore: Homunculus is here the default searcher, being the vessel of the Lesser Grail. In theory, she is the one to kick every Grail War into gear, and the one to later kickstart the Greater Grail's wish fulfillment properties by dying. This is why these days homunculi, manufactured humans with artificial souls, are used instead of real ones.

Vampiric Grail Patriarch
When a "Servant" monster you control destroys a monster by battle: Gain 800 Life Points. During the End Phase, if this card is in the Graveyard because it was destroyed by battle and sent there this turn: You can Special Summon this card.

Lore: Based on Zouken Matou, a 500-year old vampiric head of the Matou family. He's not a true Vampire, but he is vampiric in that he he turns into swarms of insects to avoid physical harm coming to him, and he eats other humans to stay alive.

Grail Contract
This card can be used to Ritual Summon a "Servant" Ritual Monster. You must also Tribute monsters from your hand or field whose total Levels equal or exceed the Level of the Ritual Monster you Ritual Summon. You can banish this card from your Graveyard; place 1 NP Counter on every "Servant" Ritual Monster on the field.

Lore: A contract between a Servant and a Master, facilitated by the Holy Grail ritual. It summons a heroic spirit from history and/or myth to fight alongside a Master magus. Or in this case, to fight for a player.

Grail Chalice
When a "Servant" monster is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, place 1 NP Counter on this card. Once per turn, you can remove 2 NP Counters from this card: Select 1 of your "Servant" Ritual Monsters and 1 of your "Grail Contract" that were removed from play or are in your Graveyard: shuffle them into the Deck, then draw 1 card.

Lore: Often mistakenly called the Lesser Grail, it is merely a cup to store the mana/energy of dead Servants. Once full, the actual Lesser Grail can use this energy to start up the Greater Grail.

Grail Wraith
Select 1 of your "Servant" Ritual Monsters that was banished or is in your Graveyard; add it to your hand.

Lore: Many heroes are not of history, but of myth and legend. They know they never actually existed, but their life still feels as real as any other, and they are shaped by human belief just like historical figures are. These mythical spirits are summoned as wraiths.

Angra Mainyu Grail
"Servant" monsters gain 100 ATK and DEF for each "Servant" Ritual Monster in either player's Graveyard. During each of your End Phases, pay 500 Life Points and place 1 NP Counter on this card (this is not optional). When a "Servant" Ritual Monster you control is destroyed: You can remove 1 NP Counter from this card to search your Deck for a "Servant" monster that includes the destroyed Ritual Monster's name in its card text; add it to your hand. Once per turn, you can target 1 "Grail Contract" that is banished or is in your Graveyard; add it to your hand. If this card is destroyed, destroy all Attack Position monsters on the field.

Lore: And this is the big one, the heart of it all. The Grail that made everything in the 4th and 5th Grail War go horribly wrong. Corrupted by the Zoroastrian God Angra Mainyu, this Greater Grail has become a sentient vessel of all of humanity's evils. Connected to the Root's unlimited power and ready to birth a living God unto the world once again, this Grail will fulfill any wish...but only by combining it with great destruction and pain.

Mostly the core cards for this set. Search and setup your Grail stuff to bring out the big monsters.

[spoiler=More Servant searchers]wiZeymz.png

Forgotten Relic

Add 1 "Servant" Ritual Monster from your Deck to your hand.

Lore: Heroic spirits are usually summoned to reflect the Master's personality. However, using a relic that has a connection to certain spirits often works as a catalyst to summon a hero of your choosing.

Projection Magic

Add 1 "Noble Phantasm" card from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand.

Lore: Projection Magic allows a magus to copy and replicate artifacts and weapons that they know, as long as they can understand them. It can even be used to create copies of Noble Phantasms.

Because deck thinning = winning.

[spoiler=Monster family 1: Artoria]yWqSuMb.jpg

Saber Servant - Artoria Pendragon

You can Ritual Summon this card with "Grail Contract". This card is unaffected by your opponent's Spell effects. If this card attacks or is attacked, place 1 NP Counter on this card at the start of the Damage step. Once per turn, you can remove 3 NP Counters from this card to destroy 1 card on the field. This card cannot declare an attack the turn you activate this effect. Once per turn; if this card would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can remove 2 NP Counters from this card instead.

Saber Servant - Artoria Alter

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by banishing 1 "Saber Servant - Artoria Pendragon" from your Graveyard. This card is unaffected by your opponent's Spell effects. If this card attacks or is attacked, place 1 NP Counter on this card at the start of the Damage step. Once per turn: During your Main Phase, you can remove 1 NP Counter from this card to destroy 1 card on the field. This card cannot declare an attack the turn you activate this effect.

Noble Phantasm - Excalibur

Equip only to an "Artoria Pendragon" monster. Increase the equipped monster's ATK by 300. During your Main Phase: You can send this card from the field to the Graveyard; destroy all face-up monsters your opponent controls. "Artoria Pendragon" cannot declare an attack the turn you activate this effect.

Saber Lily

When this card is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned, you can add 1 monster that includes "Artoria" in its name from your Deck or your Graveyard to your hand.

Lancer Servant - Artoria Pendragon

You can Ritual Summon this card with "Grail Contract". This card cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. If this card attacks or is attacked, place 1 NP Counter on this card at the start of the Damage step. Once per turn, you can remove 2 NP Counters from this card; destroy 1 monster on the field OR randomly select and destroy 1 card in your opponent's hand. This card cannot declare an attack the turn you activate this effect.

Lancer Servant - Artoria Alter

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by banishing 1 "Lancer Servant - Artoria Pendragon" from your Graveyard. This card cannot be targeted by your opponent's Spell effects. If this card attacks or is attacked, place 1 NP Counter on this card at the start of the Damage step. Once per turn, you can remove 1 NP Counter from this card to destroy 1 monster on the field.

Noble Phantasm - Rhongomyniad

Equip only to "Lancer Servant - Artoria Pendragon" or "Lancer Servant - Artoria Alter". Increase the equipped monster's ATK by 300. During your Main Phase, you can send this card from the field to the Graveyard: Look at your opponent's hand and select 1 card; destroy it.

Mysterious Heroine X

This mysterious assassin only kills Saber-class Servants. Due to her perfect disguise of a cap and scarf, no one knows her true identity.

Lore: Artoria Pendragon, daughter of Uther Pendragon and the mythical Once and Future King of Britain. Can be summoned as a Saber-class servant wielding Excalibur, or a Lancer-class servant wielding Rhongomyniad. Both classes have a blackened version.

Saber Lily is the innocent, young Artoria before she became king. In her formative years she travelled the road with Merlin and Sir Kay, wielding the sword Caliburn and defending the people of Britain against evils great and small. The choices she makes as Saber Lily will determine what sort of king she would eventually become when establishing Camelot.
As Artoria's body operates on a Dragon Core, she has a natural A-Rank magic resistance, translating to being unaffected by spell effects. Her various versions' effects are essentially their Noble Phantasm abilities, but in miniature. The actual Noble Phantasm equip cards are the real deal, for no NP cost.

Use Saber Lily to search those Once and Future Kings and Summon them to the field. I don't even know what MHX is doing here, she clearly has no connection to Artoria.

[spoiler=Monster family 2: Gilgamesh]yocVfzH.jpg

Archer Servant - Gilgamesh

You can Ritual Summon this card with "Grail Contract". If this card attacks or is attacked, place 1 NP Counter on this card at the start of the Damage step. Once per turn, you can remove 1 NP Counter from this card to  activate 1 of these effects.
• Target 1 face-up Attack Position Monster on the field; change that target to face-up Defense Position. While this card remains on the field, Monsters changed to face-up Defense Position by this effect cannot change their battle position.
• Target 1 Defense Position Monster on the field; destroy it.
• Look at all Set cards your opponent controls.

Noble Phantasm - Ea

Equip only to a "Gilgamesh" monster. During your second End Phase after you activate this card, you can send this card to the Graveyard; destroy all cards on your opponent's side of the field.

Caster Servant - Gilgamesh

You can Ritual Summon this card with "Grail Contract". During each player's Standby Phase, place 1 NP Counter on this card. During your Main Phase, you can remove 2 NP Counters from this card to use 1 of these effects.
• Target 1 Set Spell or Trap card on the field: While this card remains face-up on the field, it cannot be activated.
• Target 1 face-up Spell or Trap card on the field: While this card remains face-up on the field, its effects are negated.

Lore: Gilgamesh, the original Hero. Cannot be blackened. He can be summoned as an Archer, reflecting his personality as an arrogant, egocentric, hot-headed young king at the start of Epic of Gilgamesh. Can also be summoned as a Caster, reflecting his kinder and wiser demeanor upon returning from his journey. Other than Enkidu, the divine sword Ëa is his most prized possession. It is capable of destroying any part of reality he can see. It is however slow to fire up, and Gil is terrible at using it; usually not bothering with it all because of his ego, or waiting to activate it until it's too late. Which sometimes results in him being disarmed.
Both Gils' effects reflect his abilities Enkidu and Gate of Babylon, respectively. Enkidu chains down enemies in place, and he uses Gate of Babylon to rain down utter destruction on trapped foes.

Summon Golden Boy, try to keep your world-ending sword on the field for a few turns, then wreck said field.
At some point I might make Enkidu, Ishtar and Tiamat to complete the family.

[spoiler=Monster family 3: EMIYA]x8LBaML.jpg

Archer Servant - EMIYA

You can Ritual Summon this card with "Grail Contract". If this card attacks or is attacked, place 1 NP Counter on this card at the start of the Damage step. If this card would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can remove 2 NP Counters from this card instead. Once per turn, you can remove 2 NP Counters from this card to destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on the field OR randomly select and destroy 1 card in your opponent's hand.

Noble Phantasm - Unlimited Blade Works

Activate only if you control an "EMIYA" monster. While this card remains face-up on the field, "EMIYA" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. During your second Standby Phase after activating this card: destroy this card.

Archer Servant - EMIYA Alter

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by banishing 1 "Archer Servant - EMIYA" from your Graveyard. If this card attacks or is attacked, place 1 NP Counter on this card at the start of the Damage step. Once per turn, you can remove 1 NP Counter from this card to destroy 1 Spell or Trap card on the field.

Lore: Emiya Shirou was just your average highschool kid with magic powers who fell in love with the wraith heroic spirit of a king that never existed, which he had summoned. Teenage boy stuff. He decided to become a heroic spirit himself to pursue said love, and land himself a seat in the Throne of Heroes of the afterlife. When he died without reaching that goal, he made a pact with Alaya to become a Counter Guardian instead, hoping that would land him his ticket to a happy ending with his king. Little did he know there are no happy endings for members of the Emiya family. His regular version uses mainly swords and a bow, whereas his blackened version dual-wields sword-guns. Sword-guns? Gun-swords? They stab and shoot is the point.

His effects reflect his Calad Bolg and Rho Aias abilities. His Noble Phantasm is not actually a Noble Phantasm, but for the sake of keeping things simple I'll call it that in the name. It behaves as a Noble Phantasm would so I reckon it counts.

Who better to destroy traps than a time-traveller who's already walked into them before?
Maybe I'll do Assassin Kiritsugu one day to complete the family.

[spoiler=Monster family 4: Cú & Scáthach]YzHsxiA.jpg

If this card would be destroyed by battle, you can remove 1 NP Counter instead. This effect can only be used once while this card is face-up on the field.

Noble Phantasm - Gae Bolg

If you control a "Lancer Servant - Cú Chulainn", "Berserker Servant - Cú Alter" or "Lancer Servant - Scáthach": Destroy 1 face-up monster on the field. While this card is in the Graveyard: If you control "Lancer Servant - Scáthach"; discard 1 card from your hand to add this card to your hand.

Berserker Servant - Cú Alter

If this card battles a Fiend, Zombie or Fairy-Type monster: destroy that monster at the end of the Damage Step. If this card attacks or is attacked, place 1 NP Counter on this card at the start of the Damage step. Once per turn, you can use 1 of these effects, but this card cannot declare an attack during this turn.
• Remove 2 NP Counters from this card: Target 1 monster on the field; destroy it.
• Remove 4 NP Counters from this card (This is a Quick Effect): All face-up monsters your opponent controls lose 1500 ATK and DEF until the End Phase. If a monster's ATK or DEF has been reduced to 0 as a result of this effect, destroy it.

Caster Servant - Scáthach-Skadi

"Lancer Servant - Scáthach" + 1 LIGHT Monster
Must be Special Summoned from your Extra Deck by banishing the above cards you control. (You do not use "Polymerization") This card is unaffected by your opponent's Spell effects. Place 1 NP Counter on this card during either player's Standby Phase. Once per turn: You can activate 1 of these effects, but this card cannot declare an attack this turn.
• Remove 2 NP Counters from this card: monsters you control gain 1000 ATK and DEF until your opponent's next End Phase.

Lore:'Basically-Irish-Hercules' Chulainn, the Child of Light and Chulainn's Hound, comes in 3 distinct flavours: The spear-wielding Lancer, his personal favourite class, the rune-mystic Caster, the smarter version, and the barely cognitive but very powerful Berserker version. This blue-haired Irish demigod received his magical spear Gae Bolg and all his knowledge after training with his mentor-with-benefits Scáthach. Scáthach is an immortal warrior-queen who guards earth from the Land of Shadows, and uses her magical spears to kill demons, gods and the undead alike. At the end of Ragnarok, Odin desperately tries to save Asgard by fusing our celtic heroine Scáthach with the norse Giantess Skadi, resulting in the only Goddess to survive Ragnarok: Scáthach-Skadi.

Cú's effects reflect his Gae Bolg and his Guts ability, whereas Scáthach's reflect her immortality, her various Gaes and her Gate of Skye.

Just the Best Irish Doggo and his Mistress.

[spoiler=Monster family 5: Medea]7NNYpCm.jpg

Caster Servant - Medea

You can Ritual Summon this card with "Grail Contract". Place 1 NP Counter on this card during each player's Standby Phase. This card gains 200 ATK for each NP Counter on this card. If this card would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can remove 2 NP Counters from this card instead. Once per turn: You can activate 1 of these effects.
• Remove 1 NP Counter from another card on the field, and if you do, place 1 NP Counter on this card.
• Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls: Remove NP Counters from this card equal to the target's Level, and if you do, take control of that target. While you control the targeted monster, remove 2 NP Counters from this card during the end of your turn. If you do not, control of the target returns to your opponent.

Monsters you control are unaffected by card effects that would decrease their ATK or DEF. During either player's turn: You can remove 1 NP Counter from this card (this is a Quick Effect); until the end of this turn, any effect that would inflict damage to your Life Points is changed to increase your Life Points by the same amount of points instead.

Lore: A Greek princess, sorceress and a toy for the Gods to play their cruel games with. Medea's story is a sad one, and eventually ends with her becoming the Witch of the Greek Isles.

She excells at ancient magic from the Age of Gods, and uses it to tear apart enemies and other forms of magic. She can control enemies like puppets, and can even sever  bonds of ownership using her Noble Phantasm, Rule Breaker.

Medea Lily is Medea's youthful, innocent self before she met Jason. She was the princess of Colchis and extremely proficient at healing magic. Many believed her Noble Phantasm to be akin to reversing time, but it actually calculates 'original values' of whatever she is healing, and resets it to default.

Maybe I'll add Kuzuki in future, Medea looks lonely.

[spoiler=Monster family 6: Medusa]MYsNRv1.jpg

Rider Servant - Medusa

You can Ritual Summon this card with "Grail Contract". This card cannot be targeted by your opponent's Trap effects. While this card is in Attack Position, destroy all Attack Position monsters on the field with 800 or less ATK. If this card attacks or is attacked, place 1 NP Counter on this card at the start of the Damage Step. Monsters that battle with this card lose 300 ATK and DEF during the Damage Step only. Once per turn: you can activate 1 of these effects.
• Remove 2 NP Counters from this card to target 1 face-up Defense Position monster on the field: Destroy it, and gain Life Points equal to its original ATK.
• Remove 1 NP Counter from this card to target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls: Decrease the ATK and DEF of the targeted monster by 300. A monster targeted by this effect cannot change its battle position while it remains face-up on the field.

Phantasm Beast Pegasus

Avenger Servant - Gorgon

Once per turn, you can activate 1 of these effects, but if you do, you cannot conduct your Battle Phase this turn.

Noble Phantasm - Blood Fort Andromeda

Target 1 "Rider Servant - Medusa" or "Avenger Servant - Gorgon" you control; equip this card to that target. Once per turn, during each of your Standby Phases: Decrease the ATK and DEF of all monsters your opponent controls by 100, and place 1 NP Counter on the monster equipped with this card.

Breaker Gorgon

Target 1 "Rider Servant - Medusa" or "Avenger Servant - Gorgon": Change all Attack Position monsters on the field to face-up Defense Position, except the targeted monster. Negate the effects of all other monster cards on the field until the end of this turn, except the targeted monster's effects.

Lore: The youngest of the 3 Gorgon sisters, Medusa was once an Earth Goddess of ancient Greece. Her beauty drew the ire of Athena, who transformed her into a demon, exiled her to the Shapeless Isle, and sent Greek heroes on quests to slay her. Medusa's gaze would turn people to stone, and even the mighiest of heroes and gods would find themselves succumbing to a slow petrification. In her sadness and loneliness, she became more monstrous until she would come to devour her 2 sisters when they offered themselves as sacrifice.
She was eventually decapitated by Perseus, and from the blood flowing from her neck came Pegasus reborn, once a gift to Medusa from Poseidon, the sea god.
Medusa and Gorgon's effects reflect their abilities as Gorgons, seeing through traps with Mystic Eyes, instantly petrifying weak monsters and weakening strong monsters. Medusa's Noble Phantasm Bellerophon allows her to slice open her own throat to summon and control Pegasus. Blood Fort Andromeda will trap enemies inside, slowly draining their life and feeding Medusa/Gorgon in the process.

Breaker Gorgon is Medusa's blindfold, a powerful Bounded Field Seal which she keeps on when interacting with others to avoid petrifying them. She can cast this Seal on others to completely nullify their abilities and magic.She replaces the blindfold with magical glasses and contact lenses eventually, so it's a temporary effect.

Lore: The 19 Hassan-i-Sabbah, meaning "Old Man of the Mountain", were leaders of a secretive Middle-eastern assassin organisation who had earned this legendary title. Their true names and faces are long forgotten, even by themselves.

In the past, Hassan of the Cursed Arm made a pact with a demon god to give him power, sacrificing his arm and sealing the god in its place.

His effects reflect his Shadow Dirks and his Zabaniya abilities, and eating his opponent's heart with his Noble Phantasm will make him more powerful.

Hassan of the Hundred Faces is the only Hassan without any extraordinary abilities. He suffers from extreme multiple personality disorder, and used his other personas to master every single ability of the Hassan who came before him. His Noble Phantasm allows him to physically manifest about 80 of his personalities at the same time, resulting in a small army of assassins of different skills.
Hassan of Serenity was an attempt by the organisation to replicate the Indian Visha Kanya (Poison Girl). Her entire body, down to her hair, nails, bodily fluids and even breath is a lethal poison. Even touching her with weapons will quickly corrode them. She used the desert winds to spread her poison and decimate armies.

The progenitor of the organisation is the original Hassan-i-Sabbah, nicknamed King Hassan. It is he who transcended the rank of Servant and became the Grand Servant for all Assassins. He can mark any being and bestow upon them the Concept of Mortality via his Noble Phantasm Azrael, making it possible for him to kill even immortal entities. Though he cannot be summoned by normal means, he will sometimes leave his sacred shrine of Azrael to defend the mountain villages, or to take the heads of any of the other Hassans who have strayed from the True Path...

Al-Bakhoor is an incense used in rituals among the Hassan. It lets them fade away in a deep sleep that is almost like death, only to awaken stronger if they survive the ritual.

Proof of Existence reflects the fact that many of the Hassan Servants are unsure if they ever even existed. Doubt gnaws especially at Hundred Faced Hassan, who cannot recognise himself as one person.

The Rift of the Valley lets King Hassan call forth a Hassan-i-Sabbah from the shrine of Azrael.

• Place 1 NP Counter on a "Servant" monster on the field.
• Remove 1 NP Counter from this card: Look at all Set cards on your opponent's side of the field.
• Remove 3 NP Counters from this card: Target 1 other monster on the field; send the targeted monster and this card to the Graveyard. During your opponent's second Standby Phase after activating this effect: Special Summon this card from the Graveyard.

Hell of Blazing Penalty

Tribute 1 "Ruler Servant - Jeanne d'Arc": Special Summon 1 "Servant" monster from your hand, ignoring the Summoning conditions.

Avenger Servant - Jeanne Alter

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by banishing 1 "Ruler Servant - Jeanne d'Arc" from your Graveyard.  Cannot be targeted by your opponent's Spell effects. If this card attacks or is attacked, place 1 NP Counter on this card at the start of the Damage step. If this card battles a Dragon-Type monster, this card gains 1000 ATK and DEF during damage calculation only. During your opponent's turn, if a monster you control is attacked (Quick Effect): You can remove 3 NP Counters from this card; negate the attack and destroy the attacking monster. Once per turn, you can remove 1 NP Counter from this card: "Servant" monsters you control gain 500 ATK until the end of your opponent's next turn.

Lore: I assume everyone knows the historical Jeanne d'Arc. Her blackened version is the infamous Dragon Witch, summoned after Jeanne's execution by the wish of her love Gilles de Rais. She seeks vengeance for her unjust death, and gleefully burns down entire cities to get it.

Their effects reflect their magic resistance, their Noble Phantasms and their Clairvoyance ability.

No separate Noble Phantasm. I feel like I should save that for her Saber version because her Ruler version is kind of weird in terms of abilities.

[spoiler=Other Ritual Monsters]xxRbxgN.png

Berserker Servant - Heracles

You can Ritual Summon this card with "Grail Contract". This card cannot be destroyed by battle. If this card attacks or is attacked, place 1 NP Counter on this card at the start of the Damage Step. This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for each NP Counter on this card.

Assassin Servant - Sasaki Kojiro

You can Ritual Summon this card with "Grail Contract". If this card attacks or is attacked, place 1 NP Counter on this card at the start of the Damage step. Once per turn, you can remove 3 NP Counters from this card: If this card battles an opponent's monster this turn, destroy that monster at the start of the Damage Step.

Caster Servant - Merlin

You can Ritual Summon this card with "Grail Contract". This card is unaffected by your opponent's Spell effects. Place 1 NP Counter on this card during each player's Standby Phase. This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for each NP Counter on this card. If this card would be destroyed by battle or by your opponent's card effect, you can remove 4 NP Counters from this card instead. When your opponent declares an attack (Quick Effect): You can remove 3 NP Counters from this card to select a monster you control; switch the attack target to the selected monster. Once per turn, you can activate 1 of these effects.
• Place 1 NP Counter on a "Servant" monster on the field.
• Remove 3 NP Counters from a this card: Target 1 "Servant" monster on the field except this card; it gains 1000 ATK until the end of your opponent's turn.

Lore: I'm fairly sure everyone is at least somewhat familiar with the 12 works of Heracles/Hercules, his role on the Argo and during the Trojan War. This is his Berserker persona, a version which trades his intelligence and most of his abilities for raw power. He still retains his God Hand ability, which translates into being indestructible by way of battle. Due to his Mad Enhancement buff, the longer he remains on the field and fights, the stronger he gets, so your opponent may want to remove him quickly with effects.
Sasaki 'The Regend' Kojiro, Saviour of France, is a wraith from japanese folk tales that was summoned during the 5th Fuyuki Grail War by Medea breaking the rules. He is normally a Saber class and is incompatible with the Assassin class, but since Assassin was the only spot left unfilled, the Grail system was forced to summon him as that. Due to this bug in the system, he is very much weaker than his Saber version would be. His effect reflects his Tsubame Gaeshi sword technique.

Merlin, the Kingmaker, the Mage of Flowers, the Master of Trolling, Giving Women Male Genitalia, and Taming Planet-destroying Creatures as Pets. He also has a side gig pretending to be japan's cutest girl idol. If you have any demon goddesses invading your country and eating your people, give him a call. He'll buff up your other servants so hard they'll smack her six ways from sunday.

In all seriousness, I think I can safely assume everyone has at least a rudimentary knowledge of the mythological character Merlin. He's a wizard, he trained King Arthur and Charlemagne's paladins. He has a weird love/hate relationship with Morgan Le Fay and Vivian.

His effects are a reflection of his abilities to buff up Servants, though I had to tone it down a lot. Regular Merlin is OP man.

They have no category of their own for now. Herc may get his Alter or Archer version one day, and Sasaki could maybe get his Saber version because he's so bad at being Assassin.

[spoiler=Other support Monters]rYrjraK.jpg

Mooncell Automaton

If you Ritual Summon a "Servant" Ritual Monster, this card can be used as the entire Tribute. During your Main Phase: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; until the end of this turn, your "Servant" monsters are unaffected by your opponent's Trap effects.

Curruid, Beast of the Billows

If this card is used as a Tribute for a Ritual Summon, the summoned Ritual Monster gains 300 ATK and DEF. You can banish this card from your Graveyard: Add 1 "Noble Phantasm - Gae Bolg" from your Deck to your hand.

Lost Butterfly Shadow

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by tributing 1 monster you control, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When this card is Special Summoned, place 10 NP Counters on this card. This card is unaffected by Spell effects. You take no Battle Damage from battles involving this card. If this card is attacked; after damage calculation, banish the attacking monster. If this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard; you can add 1 "Angra Mainyu Grail" from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn, you can remove 1 NP Counter from this card: Add 1 non-Ritual "Servant" monster from your Deck to your hand. During your Standby Phase, you can remove 2 NP Counters from this card: Target 1 face-up monster on the field; destroy it.

Freelance Enforcer Magus

If this card destroys a monster, place 1 NP Counter on this card. This card gains 200 ATK for each NP Counter on this card.

Grail Enforcer Magus

When a "Servant" Ritual Monster(s) is Summoned, draw 1 card. Once per turn, you can place 1 NP Counter on a "Servant" monster you control.

Fleeting Grail Magus

When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Servant" Ritual Monster from your hand, ignoring the Summoning conditions. During the end of the turn, if this card was Normal Summoned this turn, send this card and any monsters Special Summoned by this card's effect to the Graveyard.

Lore: Mooncell Automaton is from a distant future where mana and magic no longer exist. Heroic spirits are summoned instead via the Mooncell system, a combination of human and alien technology. This is essentially the reason for its effects, no deep lore involved.

Curruid was an ancient celtic Sea God that was slain by another sea beast. From its skull was carved the Gae Bolg, and from its bones was made a set of spiked armour.

I can't disclose all the lore on Lost Butterlfy Shadow because it would spoil the entire story of Heaven's Feel for those who wish to read and/or watch it. Just know that it's pretty much indestructible, and likes to eat things, whether they be living creatures, spirits, souls, demons, gods, raw magic, you name it. Anything that has a hint of power is fair game. Because it contains pieces of a destroyed Grail it can link itself to the Root, which means any servants it devours can have their blackened versions summoned by it.

Enforcer Mages are tasked by the Mage Association to do various jobs. Freelance Enforcers tend to hunt bounties on their own and sell them to the Association at inflated prices.
Grail Enforcers are charged by both the Mage Association and the Holy Church to act as supposedly impartial mediators during Holy Grail Wars.
Some Mages who enter a Holy Grail War can be a quite fleeting presence, quickly betrayed and/or killed off when they have summoned their Servant. Depicted is Bazett McRemitz, who summoned her Servant and was betrayed and killed immediately by the Church's mediator.

Various oddjobs.

[spoiler=NP Gain cards]YMti8GI.jpg

Ryuudou Temple

During your Standby Phase, place 1 NP Counter on this card and all face-up "Servant" monsters. Once per turn, if you would activate a card effect by removing an NP Counter(s) from your side of the field, you can remove that many NP Counters from this card instead.

Kingmaker

Select 1 "Servant" monster on the field. Place 3 NP Counters on it.

Formal Craft

Activate this card by placing 5 NP Counters on this card. Once per turn, during your turn: You can target 1 other face-up card on the field that you can place an NP Counter on; remove 1 NP Counter from this card, and if you do, place 1 NP Counter on that target. If there are no NP Counters on this card, destroy it.

Lore: Built on a mountainside, Ryuudou Temple stands atop the cavern where the Greater Grail is located, a place where several ley lines intersect. It is an area of powerful magic, and as such servants can use it as a battery.

Kingmaker simply references Merlin's tendenies for abducting children and turning them into heroes.

Formal Craft shows a master magus doing her stuff. it's basically a Power Stone for NP Counters.

Pump up the NP Counters on the field to use those Servant effects faster.

[spoiler=NP Spending cards]kILqkgt.jpg

Clairvoyance

While you control a Level 8 or higher "Servant" monster: Once per turn, during your Main Phase; Pay 500 Life Points to look at your opponent's hand and all Set cards on their side of the field. You can send this card from your field to the Graveyard to look at the top 3 cards of your opponent's Deck, then return them to the top of the Deck in any order.

Grail Memory

Remove 5 NP Counters from cards on your side of the field. Special Summon 1 banished "Servant" monster, ignoring the Summoning conditions.

Gandr

Remove up to 5 NP Counters from your side of the field. Inflict 500 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points for each NP Counter removed by this effect.

Lore: Clairvoyance is an ability possessed by many heroic spirits, divine spirits, phantasmal species like vampires, faeries, and sometimes human mages. It comes in different ranks of power, but generally speaking it allows the user to 'see' everything around them in a large radius, and to see into the future to look at different possible outcomes of a given situation. They can then act on that information and choose a future they deem to be the best outcome.

Grail Memory shows a catalyst that was used to summon a heroic spirit from outside of the timeline.

Gandr is a magic based attack that depletes energy from a magus to do damage. It is simple but effective; the more energy you can burn, the more damage it does.

Or these effects.

[spoiler=Field Spam]Z4555KB.jpg

Dress of Heaven

Target 1 "Servant" monster in your Graveyard. Special Summon it and equip it with this card, ignoring the Summoning conditions. When this card is removed from the field, destroy the equipped monster.

Flower of Madness

Activate this card by destroying 1 "Servant" Ritual Monster you control. Search your Deck for a non-Ritual "Servant" monster that includes the destroyed monster's name in its card text; Special Summon it, ignoring the Summoning conditions.

Loyalty through Light and Darkness

Tribute a non-Ritual "Servant" Monster. Select 1 of your Ritual "Servant" monsters that was banished or is in your Graveyard whose name is in the tributed monster's card text; Special Summon it, ignoring the Summoning conditions.

Kaleidoscope

Select 1 "Servant" monster you control. Shuffle it into the Deck and Special Summon 1 "Servant" monster with a different name from your deck, ignoring the Summoning conditions. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this card.

Chaldea Servant Supreme

Special Summon as many of your banished "Servant" monsters as possible, ignoring the Summoning conditions. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this card. During the End Phase of the turn this card was activated: Destroy all monsters Special Summoned by this effect, ignoring their effects.

Mentor-Student Tag Team

Select 1 "Servant" monster you control: Special Summon 1 "Servant" monster from your Deck with the same Type as the selected monster, ignoring the Summoning conditions. Its effects are negated and it is shuffled back into the Deck during the End Phase.

Lore: Not a great deal of lore here. Mostly just situations that warrant the effect of a spell/trap card instead of monster effects.

Dress of Heaven can bring back a fallen hero by using it on them. It references the Einzbern family's way of constructing the Grail system.

Flower of Madness shows Butterfly doing her thing, eating a regular Servant and then summoning the blackened version.

Loyalty through Light and Darkness is the reverse of that, removing a blackened version to bring back the original. Because some heroes are pretty damn loyal to their masters, even when blackened.

Kaleidoscope does warrant some lore 'splainin. It is one of the five True Magics, and allows the user to operate between parallel universes across the multiverse. In this case, it can be used to 'step into' a new universe where you have summoned a different Servant. It's basically a re-roll on whatever you have.

Chaldea Servant Supreme is the generic 'briefly mass summon' card. it references the Chaldea system, which allows for masters to summon a large number of servants, not just the one. It would be OP AF if they remained on the field or could attack en masse, hence the restrictions.
Mentor-Student Tag Team is pretty straightforward for briefly summoning a hero's buddy to the field. Its art depicts Irish Doggo and his Shishou fighting together.

Mostly for mid- and endgame. Once your monsters have started flooding your Graveyard and RFP area, start calling them back en masse for little cost.

[spoiler=Other Support]URVbzcs.jpg

Heroic Assault

At the start of the Battle Phase: For the rest of this turn after this card resolves, your  "Servant" monsters are unaffected by your opponent's card effects.

Command Seal Overload

Target 1 "Servant" monster you control. Its ATK and DEF increase by 1000. Until the end of this turn, the targeted monster can use its effects for 0 NP Counter cost. Destroy it during the End Phase of the turn you activate this card, ignoring the targeted monster's effects.

Two Hearts

When your opponent activates a card or effect that would destroy a "Servant" monster(s) you control (Quick Effect): you can pay 3000 Life Points; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card. When your opponent activates a card or effect that would inflict damage to your Life Points (Quick Effect): you can send 1 "Servant" monster you control to the Graveyard; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card.

Rain of Light

If you control a "Caster Servant" monster: Target 1 card your opponent controls; toss  a coin 3 times, and destroy that target if at least 2 of the results are Heads.

Adumbration

When non-Ritual "Servant" monsters you control attack with an ATK that is higher than the DEF of your opponent's Defense Position monster, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points.

Lore: Heroic Assault doesn't have a great deal of lore. It's meant to be a general Brief Immunity card for that final push.

Command Seal Overload shows, appropriately, a Command Seal overloading. Command Seals can only ever be used three times and then a Servant vanishes. They can be used by Masters to force commands on to their Servants that they would normally not obey (for whatever reason). They can also be used to buff a Servant by a significant percentage for a short time. Overloading a Command Seal uses up all remaining commands on the seal, and the Servant disappears afterwards.

Two Hearts refers to the strong bond some Servants and Masters have; they can share mind, body and soul, and will sometimes sacrifice themselves to save the other.

Rain of Light is an ability that Medea often uses (as seen in the card art), but in theory any Caster-class Servant could use it to some degree. The Caster gathers raw magical energy and fires it off in beams at the target. The coin toss reflects the fact that most Casters aren't great at aiming and rely on spamming this attack to get at least one good hit in.
See this example of a Rain of Light spam where Archer EMIYA blocks/dodges a few beams, but most of them miss him entirely.

cae4b1e8be76427517ea07e88b0db785.gif

That is Medea getting poor coin tosses.

Adumbraton depicts the viciousness and merciless ways in which some blackened Servants attack. They don't fight for glory or honour, they fight for the destruction of an enemy and to cause as much pain as possible.

Update & bump.

Remade the cards in the Neo Card Maker, streamlined them, added some cards, and re-organised them for better viewing. I also noticed some card texts become too small to read properly so I added text.

Any corrections, suggestions or other feedback is welcome.

Alright. That is a lot of cards.

In case if you are wondering why you have not received any feedback on why nobody has yet to respond to your topic, allow me to shed some light upon the matter. You see, Casual Multiples is a much more quiet place than the other Custom Card threads, and rarely anyone browses here. Those who do, however, will hardly review a series of cards that go above 10 cards. You have around 60 cards. Therefore, you cannot expect someone to review your series of cards if the amount transcends to such a high value. However, seeing you good OCG and consistent artwork makes me realize the work that must have come into these cards, and I will gladly review your cards in parts. As of now, I am not interested in reviewing your entire Archetype in a single sitting, and I doubt I would have the time or mental capacity to do so. Instead, I will review your cards in parts so that I may have more consistency in reviewing this Archetype, and I will try to take it apart and find out what its goal and strategy is and each card's purpose in this series (feel free to shed some light on these cards if you wish). Once that has been done, I will review your Archetype as a whole and review any cards that catch my eye, either for the good or bad.

Now, let's start with "Grail & Grail support" and "More Servant searchers":

[spoiler=Lesser Grail Homunculus] Lesser Grail Homunculus: I garner that this will be one of your main searchers for the Archetype, if there are any more. In terms of usability, I could see this being a staple in a Deck that utilizes Grail cards and such. The only thing I would do to change this card is to restrict the second ability to a HOPT. This second effect could target a second Homunculus, and if this Archetype has any cards that rely on discarding or obtaining Ritual Spell Cards quickly, this card would instantly become a Level 4 Sinister Serpent without the HOPT clause. Otherwise, it's good. You can also just say "When this card is Summoned..." instead of "When this card is Normal Summoned, Special Summoned...."

[spoiler=Vampiric Grail Patriarch] Vampiric Grail Patriarch: I'm not sure how used this card would be. From what I had gathered when quickly strolling through your cards, Servant monsters are the Ritual monsters of the Deck, so the LP gain is a good boost if you manage to have him on the field when you destroy a monster via a Servant monster's attack. With the Special Summon from the GY when the card is destroyed by battle, it shouldn't be too hard to keep it on the field, as long as it isn't dealt with in some other way, such as by effects.

[spoiler=Grail Contract] Grail Contract: Ritual Spell Card of the Deck. I do not yet know what NP Counters have anything to do with Ritual monsters, so for now I'll keep this card on hold. Also, you don't have to capitalize "monster".

[spoiler=Grail Chalice] Grail Chalice: Also utilizes NP Counters, but since they revolve around the Spell Card itself instead of an actual Servant Ritual monster, I still can't discern how Grail Contract's effect comes into play. Anyways, relying on your monsters to be destroyed instead of being sent to the GY is not a bad mechanic, I just wonder how that will fare when most of your monsters will most likely be sent to the GY for your Ritual Summons. Otherwise, its good recovery and a draw. Also, I'm not sure if select is still a valid word in OCG or if it has entirely been replaced by target, but you might want to change that just in case.

[spoiler=Grail Wrath] Grail Wrath: A more safer and immediate but less rewarding recovery than Chalice. I see. I can also tell that banishing will be used a bit here at least, so there's some knowledge.

[spoiler=Angru Mainyu Grail] Angru Mainyu Grail: Field Spell Card that: 1) Increases ATK and DEF, 2) Searches for Ritual monster, 3) Adds Grail Contract that is banished or in the GY to the hand, and 4) Destroys Attack Position monsters upon destruction. Now that is a lot of plus sides for a single Field Spell Card, especially when some of the most important ones have a max of 2-3 effects. This might just be me, however; it could be fine the way it is. I think that it is just the last effect that makes me wonder.

[spoiler=More Servant searchers] More Servant searchers: Both cards basically search the Deck for their required cards, though Noble Projection can add a Noble Phantasm from the GY as well, though I don't have an idea as to what those cards are. Still, Forgotten Relic seem like a good alternative for Homunculus, if you don't want to use up your Normal Summon for searching in return for a recovery ability when sent to the GY. You could just run both if you want; they would work well together.

That's all I have for now, and I will come back later to review another part. Remember to also state the card lore under each respective card (it's required).

That's all I have for now, and I will come back later to review another part. Remember to also state the card lore under each respective card (it's required).

First off: thank you for taking the time to actually review this, and explaining why these threads may be visited less frequently (especially when they have lots of cards).

As for the goal; it is mainly just having fun with the characters and lore. I realise some cards would be all but useless, and some are probably OP AF (though I can't be sure as I have no clue as to what the current meta is). I tried to mitigate the latter by making the most powerful effects be on the monsters that are hardest to summon. But that sort of went out the window when I started adding those field spam cards that will often ignore summoning conditions. So in summary: Just for fun, really. Which does not mean I don't apprecaiae your tips.

For Homunculus, indeed I realise too late that it would be able to search copies of itself from the GY. I really should add a clause that excludes itself in the text. Thanks for catching that.

The Summoned text you may be right on, I base my card texts off of Duel Links texts as they seem to be updated fairly well. But I may be wrong in that assertion.

Patriarch is exactly that, yes. He's pretty useless except as a temporary meat shield, because that 800 LP isn't going to do a great deal. I am tempted to lower his attack to 0 though, because a) clearing the field with Servants (their main role) would make that 800 damage each turn a bit too much and b) he really has no purpose attacking anything lore-wise. He lets others do the fighting for him.

Speaking of lore though, I am tempted to make him maybe stronger, but have his revival effect dependent on banishing another monster from the GY. In lore, that guy can only "revive" himself properly by devouring another person and recreating his body from their flesh. So that might balance him, I don't know.

I feel Chalice might be too OP as a draw engine if it works on things being sent to the GY, because you could keep Ritual Summoning Servants and keep filling your hand for quite a while until your opponent's field is empty.

As for the Select vs Target, again is from Duel Links. I get the impression that both are still used, but 'target' can be negated by anti-target cards (à la Riryokou Field, Hazy Flame monsters, and the likes) whereas select cannot (and also usually involves cards which aren't on the field but instead in the deck, GY or removed from play). I may be utterly wrong in this.

Angra Mainyu Grail is one I'm unhappy about for the reason you state: it does too much. Lore wise, it should be doing a lot more, but I just...can't. One thing I might change is the monster destruction when it is destroyed; would it be more balanced if it only destroys attack position monsters on YOUR side of the field, instead of the entire field? That way it would be much more risky to play it.

Finally, I apologise for not thoroughly adding lore to each card, I thought that the mechanics would be enough. I shall get around to that as well. Unfortunately the lore is pretty huge, and some of the lore descriptions I aim to post here would not make sense because these are only a handful of monsters in a world with a cast of 300+ important characters. With a history of about 20.000 years. And a multiverse that works on splitting timelines, creating alternative characters of each individual.

And again, thank you for your time.

Hey, don't worry about the cards; that's why you posted them here, is it not? For fun and for suggestions. You can have both an Archetype that is fun for you and can honestly play pretty well.

Anyways, I wouldn't worry about Chalice, because unless if you are able to continual destroy your Ritual monsters consistently, it shouldn't do too much harm. As for the select/target situation, I believe that both are still used, but for any effect that actually has some sort of effect that specifies a certain card, that effect uses the term targeting, while select is for situations whereas as your opponent selects an excavated card to add to your hand or something along those lines. As for Patriarch, don't worry about him much either. From what I have gathered, every Archetype, even the good ones, will have some kind of card that nobody will really use. I know it's not truly the best thing to teach, but its true. Have you ever seen a Burning Abyss player use Draghig, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss? I can almost guarantee you that you have not. The reason why? Well, Draghig is a bad card hard card to utilize efficiently. So don't feel stressed about Patriarch or any other "weaker" card you may or may not have: they exist.

So, continue to do well, and if you ever feel the urge to, check out the topic here that deals with OCG (Official Card Grammar; not to be confused with Official Card Game); it will keep you up to date with the latest card grammar and its rules.

True, thank you.

As for the select/target situation, I believe that both are still used, but for any effect that actually has some sort of effect that specifies a certain card, that effect uses the term targeting, while select is for situations whereas as your opponent selects an excavated card to add to your hand or something along those lines.

Then I don't know what I'm doing. Select or target? I don't seem to know how to differentiate or where to start.

The other reason why is that I don't know that Archtype or the card in question. :D

So, continue to do well, and if you ever feel the urge to, check out the topic here that deals with OCG (Official Card Grammar; not to be confused with Official Card Game); it will keep you up to date with the latest card grammar and its rules.

Thank you. And yes, I was reading that topic. It surely helped, though some things are still somewhat vague to me.

Also, added all card texts and lore descriptions.

"Monster Families 1 & 2"

[spoiler=Saber Servant - Artoria Pendragon]

The card is very powerful for the simple Ritual Summon of a Level 8 monster. Personally, I would increase the Level of the monster and decrease its ATK and DEF by a few hundred or so. I do see now though how these NP Counters come into play, so the previous cards did just become a bit more effective. Anyways, I see that this card is for field advantage. Wipes fields, persists, and has immunities to Spell Cards (the correct way to state an immunity to Spell Cards is "This card is unaffected by Spell Cards," rather than "This card is unaffected by Spell effects."

[spoiler=Saber Servant - Artoria Alter]

A weaker version respectively, perhaps a secondary strategy: focus on running a select few Servant Ritual monsters and their Alter versions. It's fine the way it is.

[spoiler=Noble Phantasm - Excalibur]

Raigeki for Artoria Pendragon (300 ATK too I guess). I would make it to where the monster that was equipped with the Equip Spell Card cannot attack the turn you activated its destruction effect, instead of simply Artoria Pendragon.

[spoiler=Saber Lily]

Searcher for the Artoria monsters. Okay.

[spoiler=Lancer Servant - Artoria Pendragon]

More balanced than Saber Servant. I would say that its fine the way it is, even without a stat decrease. Not having an immunity helps as well, considering how this card focuses more on decreasing your opponent's advantage, either on the field with monsters or with cards in the hand.

[spoiler=Lancer Servant - Artoria Alter]

I would also decrease the ATK a little. Otherwise, it also serves as good weaker version.

[spoiler=Noble Phantasm - Rhongomyniad]

Substantially weaker than Excalibur, in which you simply destroy 1 card from your opponent's hand rather than all of your opponent's face-up monsters. Doesn't restrict your monsters from attacking however, so there is a plus there. I'm not sure how efficient these Noble Phantasm Equip Spell Cards are going to be with the rest of these cards, but we'll just have to look and see later. As for now, I would maybe consider running Excalibur, though not so much with Rhongomyniad.

[spoiler=Mysterious Heroine X]

I am pretty sure that the max DEF for a Normal monster with 2000 ATK is 100, so why don't you do that.

[spoiler=Archer Servant - Gilgamesh]

Decrease that ATK please; it's way too high for a Level 8 monster with these kinds of effects. Besides that, however, the card is fine, and the effects are pretty cool as well, if I must say so myself.

[spoiler=Noble Phantasm - Ea]

Honestly, I don't think this card would work well. A free field wipe, but only if it can stay that long on the field. It doesn't even give 300 ATK. As a side note, it doesn't mesh with the other Gilgamesh monsters that you grouped this card with, and I would have expected something that filled in the gap between the two Ritual monsters, or that could have worked around potential weaknesses that both shared, such as their effects being a bit slow.

[spoiler=Caster Servant - Gilgamesh]

I think this card is pretty cool and fine the way it is. These Gilgamesh Ritual monsters put a good impression on me. However, I have realized that there are a few things in your texts that would benefit from OCG. Here is a link if you ever want to get caught up on how to write cards with official grammar.

Thanks for again taking time to review. I am currently in the process of rewriting a lot of these cards because some of them are way OP in hindsight, and others have clashing effects with their support. Or lack variety in effects with other monsters. But the holidays  leave me with less time for rewriting, so my apologies for taking a while to update.

Yeah I was thinking of making her card destruction effect cost a bit more.
I assume ATK/DEF plays a big role in the current meta then? Again the only current meta I know is the digital one, and nobody cares much about ATK/DEF there, it's currently all about field control and OTKs.

I may tone down her stats somewhat, but feel somewhat reluctant because it's supposed to be a boss monster with tons of support in the style of BEWD/DM archtypes, so maybe I'll do as you say and raise its level, but keep its stats relatively high. I mean, look at ritual monsters like Vrash, Demise2.0, Zielgigas, Chaos Max, Odd-Eyes, Dakini, and to a lesser degree even Lord of the Red and Saffira. They're monstrous in the stat department with damn good effects, so it would not be entirely unheard of.
Maybe her immunity should be an anti-target as well, rather than a blanket immunity.
Speaking of, I thought it was "Spell Cards" too, because that's what is on my old card collection. But after some digging it turns out I was wrong; according to the wiki, the current text is "Spell/Trap/Monster effects" in case of immunity. Newly printed cards have had this as an errata. On konami's digital platforms this has also been changed to "effects". I don't know when this happened but it's been in place since at least may 2018.

A weaker version respectively, perhaps a secondary strategy: focus on running a select few Servant Ritual monsters and their Alter versions. It's fine the way it is.

Yes, that's pretty much it. I don't think anyone would ever try to run all these monsters in a single deck, but rather focus on 1 or maybe 2 and prop them up with support and maybe their alter versions.

Raigeki for Artoria Pendragon (300 ATK too I guess). I would make it to where the monster that was equipped with the Equip Spell Card cannot attack the turn you activated its destruction effect, instead of simply Artoria Pendragon.

Sure. I was going for a Burst Stream-ish side-effect to the destruction, but that works too and would be somewhat more powerful I guess.

Searcher for the Artoria monsters. Okay.

Precisely right. I may tone down her ATK a bit but honestly I don't think she would be used much for battle anyway.

More balanced than Saber Servant. I would say that its fine the way it is, even without a stat decrease. Not having an immunity helps as well, considering how this card focuses more on decreasing your opponent's advantage, either on the field with monsters or with cards in the hand.

That's fair.

I would also decrease the ATK a little. Otherwise, it also serves as good weaker version.

Agreed. She's not quite as powerful as regular version anyway. Alternatively I was thinking of drastically reducing her DEF and making her vulnerable to position changing effects. Lore-wise speaking she packs a huge punch but she's reckless to an almost suicidal degree. And the skimpy armour doesn't help much.

[spoiler=Noble Phantasm - Rhongomyniad]

Substantially weaker than Excalibur, in which you simply destroy 1 card from your opponent's hand rather than all of your opponent's face-up monsters. Yeah, Rhon is a lot weaker than Excalibur in many ways and I tried to translate that in their effects. Rhon is still strong at godslayer tier, but Excalibur is a literal planet-buster. That alone made me think it should be better than Rhon in YGO. Then again Rhon lets you actually see the opponent's hand before choosing, which is an indirect advantage I suppose.

I am pretty sure that the max DEF for a Normal monster with 2000 ATK is 100, so why don't you do that.

Understood. Didn't know that. Then I'll probably set her ATK at 1900 or something, she's more of a joke card anyway.

Decrease that ATK please; it's way too high for a Level 8 monster with these kinds of effects. Besides that, however, the card is fine, and the effects are pretty cool as well, if I must say so myself.

That bad huh? Should I tone it down to, say, Dakini level? Or more Garlandolf level? Because this guy is supposed to be the biggest servant in the whole set.
Alternatively, I could tone down his effects a bit (or turn them into Noble Phantasm spell/trap cards that require him present) and buff his ATK up to Shinato/Zielgigas level. :D

Honestly, I don't think this card would work well. A free field wipe, but only if it can stay that long on the field. It doesn't even give 300 ATK. I'm afraid that in this case, it's sort of the point of Ëa, as per lore. It's hugely powerful, but Gil is reluctant to use it because of plot device his ego, and even when he does, it's slow and easily interrupted. Gil's the top dog among servants but he hardly ever wins any wars because he keeps misusing a stupidly OP Ëa.

Now, I know, I know, lore should not get in the way of a card effect, but honestly I just really, badly want this card to be a menace just hanging over your opponent's head, only for it to be removed before its effect is activated in a spectacular anticlimax. :D
I probably should put this in the lore on Ëa.

Yes, I have been reading it. The select vs target still baffles me. Also I need to get better at writing condition effects. And I need to get rid of the End Phase texts on some. Lots of work, so little time though.

"Monster Families 2 & 4"

[spoiler=Archer Servant - EMIYA]

I believe it's "Spell/Trap Card" instead of "Spell or Trap Card". Anyways, I feel like this monster is much easier to evaluate than the others. Only has 5 Levels, but in return doesn't offer any effects that deal with your opponent's monsters on the field, which I believe is present in all of your other Ritual monsters so far. Instead, this card offers Spell/Trap Card removal, such as the likes of your Caster Servant - Gilgamesh, and card removal from the hand. Lacking outstanding stats, I would say this card is fair the way it is.

[spoiler=Noble Phantasm - Unlimited Blade Works]

Immunity for your EMIYA monsters. Unlike the other Noble Phantasm cards I've seen so far, this card seems to only be viable with your EMIYA monsters, in contrast with the others, that simply needed them to be present for them to activate versatile effects. This would be alright, but the thing is that your EMIYA monsters wouldn't serve as well as a central theme; they better serve as support for your other Servant monsters, with their Spell/Trap Card removal and card removal from the hand. Therefore, I wouldn't see this card as common as you might have hoped.

[spoiler=Archer Servant - EMIYA Alter]

Standard weaker version. It's good.

[spoiler=Lancer Servant - Cú Chulainn]

So it's like Lancer and Saber Servant - Artoria Pendragon mixed together, but as a weaker form. From what I can tell, if you're not going to run one or either form of Artoria in a Servant Deck, you would run this: the mix between the two. I mean, that's the only reason I would see to run this. Also, did you know that YGO already has a Cú Chulainn Ritual monster? Nothing wrong with this monster's name, just thought I would tell you.

[spoiler=Noble Phantasm - Gae Bolg]

Support for both Lancer Servant - Cú Chulainn, his weaker stronger form, and Lancer Servant - Scáthach, but leans more towards Scàthach. I don't know much about her yet, which I will soon, but otherwise looks like good monster removal with recovery. Also, the recovery isn't optional, in case you didn't notice.

[spoiler=Berserker Servant - Cú Alter]

Okay, so I see another reason why to run Lancer Servant - Cú Chulainn; this monster is actually a stronger version of its original Ritual monster, which is a change. The only thing that makes the card worse in any ways is that you have to pay 2 NP Counters to keep this card alive, but it instantly makes up for it by the fact that it can use it more than once. This brings quite a twist to its original Ritual monster's purpose, and I would say that the synergy between these two gives Lancer Servant - Cú Chulainn more usefulness than I originally thought.

[spoiler=Caster Servant - Cú Chulainn]

This card does have some other advantages compared to its Lancer counterpart, but since it isn't compatible with Cú Alter or Gae Bolg, this card would best be used beside its Lancer counterpart at most.

[spoiler=Lancer Servant - Scáthach]

This card is very powerful, a bit too powerful. First, I would just like to discuss the ATK decrease effect on this card. I would tune it down to 1000 ATK at most, reason being not only because it's a huge ATK decrease, but it also conflicts with Caster Servant - Cú Chulainn, who has a much weaker ATK decrease for a very similar cost, making that card even less usable. Second, it can't be destroyed by battle, and it has a very high ATK to begin with and a rather low Level for something of the such. If you want to keep that monster's ATK, I would increase this card's level, making it more difficult to Summon. Otherwise, decrease this card's ATK. As for its Fairy, Fiend and Zombie destruction effects, I guess that it has something to do with the lore of the show so I'll just let you be the judge of that.

[spoiler=Caster Servant - Scáthach-Skadi]

I would say that this is much more balanced, especially if you choose to increase Lancer Servant - Scáthach's Level, making her more difficult to Summon. Serves as a good boss monster. Exhibits immunity to Spell Cards, but not Trap Cards, which shouldn't be a problem if you plan on using her effects more than her attacks (Trap Cards are more likely to have destruction effects against those who attack rather than sit idly, not to mention her second effect). Second effect is a big ATK increase, but I think that it is fine the way it is, considering all that you have to work for in order to get Caster Servant - Scáthach-Skadi on the field in the first place.
