The cards of one of the three themes of Infinity Chasers is revealed, and it’s the theme you’d come up with when you were 12.

(2) While “Cursed Eye of Selene” is equipped to this card (Quick Effect): You can target 1 Special Summoned monster your opponent controls; destroy that monster.

Why don't you post the images too, if you're just gonna copy paste from YGOrg anyway?

So, these cards, not exactly what I had in mind, and so far, they seem quite strange, I get the idea, get an effect while having their Equip Spell and boost its ATK, though the negative effect coming the next Standby Phase sounds kind of bad, at least for the Main Deck one, you could potentially negate a card with the Link, though you will most likely just end up negating your own card. I assume more speed will come later, but don't have a Special Summon right now at all, while searching and protection and destruction are there, they feel awkward, but I know it's bad practice to just judge based on literally 3 cards, so I am hopeful. They just seem weird, kind of like Tindangle, even got the Fiend typing.

Mali is still at 2, so armaknight is a free Isolde. Let's not forget that when we evaluate these dudes.

So, sariel can be normal summoned, searching the eye. This could then immediately destroy a monster, but that leaves you with a 2100 atk monster that will die in the opponent's standby phase. Obviously, you're better off saving that destruction for the opponent's turn, so you can disrupt plays, but the option is definitely nice if you are going in for the kill.

Zarakiel is pretty sweet. His destruction is an entire spell speed slower, but can hit anything, and he doesn't die on the next standby phase, so having a difficult to hit 3100 atk monster feels pretty dece.

It can also trigger destruction synergy, there is a reason Draconic Diagram was/is a tech for such synergies, that aside you can always destroy the equip instead.

It is still Spell Speed 2 (it does say "(Quick Effect)").

I did not expect them to be reliant on one name of an Equip Spell, though I expected them to work somewhat like this, though not as good (I assumed they would ruin the archtype).

As for the Link negating your own cards ... that only applies if you, for whatever reason, place something into one of its linked Zones (after all they are cursed) and in case you do not want to lose Zones you can always summon it into a Main Monster Zone (except below your EMZ) to completely dispose of its disadvantages.

Those sound rather interesting, actually did I not say their Equip Spell could be like Salamangreat Claw ?

The Equip Spell is good (and even better depending on their Spell/Trap cards).

If they do not screw up later on these could definitely be a fun archtype.

If the Machine LINK/Xyz archtype focuses on parts for (a) larger machine(s) (similar to armor monsters and Meklords (anime versions)) they could also be an interesting new concept, rather than just another version of Link/Xyz spam.

Oh cool so zarakiel is funking insane

All of these thus far are insane, you get rewarded with a pseudo drancia effect and an upgraded drancia effect for equiping a full scale shield (no destruction (battle and eff) nor targeting), which further buffs your attack for using said raigeki break effects, while also having recursion on the equip, in case you could run out of copies, not to mention the normal summonable raigeki break on a stick is also a stratos, which can search the equip it requires.

Oh and the downside of said level 4 does not exist if you tech, while the Link 3 has pretty much no downside.

I'm going to take a guess and say Selene won't be the only named equip. As more than likely I reckon the theme here is that there will be duo or trios of Cursed Eye monsters, each with their own specific Cursed Eye equip. As otherwise it seems odd that they would rely solely on one specific card. Of course the alternative is other CE equips that call themselves Selene when equipped.

I disagree with that statement, to me they look more complex than whatever archetype/theme a 12-year-old could come up with.

Really looking good. Quick effect removal, even if it's plain destruction, is really good, the Equip has a built-in recovery effect reminiscent of Nekroz Ritual Spells, and their next-SP "drawbacks" can be used to your advantage with the right techs and builds.

I too think Isolde tech has potential here. If not Armageddon+Mali, there are other self-Summonable Warriors you can use to assist the Isolde play, namely Junk Forward, Marauding and Thrasher, as well as Neo Space Connector + Dolphin.

As for destruction synergy on Cursed Eye Deathsciple Sariel:

1.) Super Team Buddy Force Unite

2.) Z-one

3.) Artifacts

4.) Smoke Grenade of the Thief

5.) Metalfoes

6.) Nephtys

are the ones I found really quickly.

Super Team Buddy Force Unite replaces itself and can later on be used as revival.

Metalfoes get searches if Metalfoes Combination or Metalfoes Bismugear get destroyed.

Artifacts should speak for themselves and are propably the best synergy, given that they help stun the opponent and are looking for someone to enable them.
