Elemental HERO Blaster Sparkman

lv 4 LIGHT

Warrior/Effect

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: place 1 Spark Counter on this card for each "HERO" monster you control. (Quick Effect): you can remove 1 Spark Counter form this card; target 1 monster your opponent controls, then apply the following effect depending on the targeted monster.

* non-Link Monster: Switch the targeted monsters battle position.

* Link Monster: the targeted monsters ATK is halved until the End Phase this turn.

When this card attacks a defence position monster, inflict piercing battle damage.

ATK/1600 DEF/1400

So Blaster Sparkman is a retrain of Sparkman utilizing Spark Blaster in its effects where it gains Spark Counters when summoned equal to the number of HERO's you control, then it can use those counters to fire off at your opponents monsters to either switch their battle position or halve a Link Monsters ATK (since Link Monsters cannot go into DEF.) Finally as a added bonus for putting monsters into defence this card can also inflict piercing battle damage through them.

In HERO's Blaster Sparkman is tech card that in a Link heavy format stomp over your opponents link monsters as well as stop non-link monsters from attacking by changing their battle position.

Huh. I actually find this card to be interesting. I like the idea of retraining the original HEROs, and making them competitively viable, and I think u did an excellent job at making Sparkman not only fun to play with again, but also viable to some degree. However, some things scare me about this card.

1. I personally think it should treat itself as the original Sparkman when on the field or in the GY. Just a personal preference, but I think it would greatly benefit from it, while also making some of the older fusions like Electrum and Thunder Giant see some more play. Just a little gimmick that I think could benefit the card, but it's completely up to u.

2. I understand that Link monsters cannot go into Defense Position, but cutting their attack seems a bit busted. Using this, u could literally kill a Topologic Bomber Dragon or Borreload/Borrelsword Dragon with this card alone. Maybe decrease them by like, 1000? Idk, cutting them in half just seems a bit too busted to me, especially considering it gets a counter off itself.

Other than that, it's a great card, and I would like to see what u can do to retrain the other original HEROs if thats somn u r interested in doing.

Well considering this card its effect is limited to the number of counters it has on it where if it has only 1 counter off itself it can only use its effect once.

Regarding other retrains I also did make a Blaster Bubbleman in a varied support Set I made.

I understand that it is based on how many counters it has, but if u have 3 of these in your Deck, AND u have a lot of GY Revival effects (which isn't hard to pull off), you could easily pop your opponent's supposed boss monsters from the field with as little effort as Summoning a monster. Not to mention, it gets more counters for each HERO on your field, meaning it can use its effects multiple times, easily popping off multiple Link monsters, or blocking multiple attacks. I'm just saying that it's sorta busted as it has this amount of power.
