Ultimagamer
This is a series of cards I thought of similar to that of Thunder Dragons ( cards that work well as an archetype together but offer good generic support to their type ). The origin card for this set is Lion Alligator I will be releasing this archetype in a series of waves, so please leave your thoughts below :D [spoiler=Cards To Consider With This Archetype]Lion Alligator Level 4 / Water / Reptile / Effect 1800 attack / 200 defense While you control a Reptile-Type (other than this card), if a Reptile-Type Monster you control attacks a Defense Position Monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. Snake Rain Spell - Normal Discard 1 card; send 4 Reptile-Type Monsters from your Deck to your GY. [spoiler=Wave 1]Zebra Alligator Level 4 / Water / Reptile / Effect 0 attack / 2000 defense If you control a Reptile-Type Monster, except “Zebra Alligator”, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card is sent from your field or Deck to your GY: You can send 1 “Alligator” Monster from your Deck to your GY. You can only use each effect of “Zebra Alligator” once per turn. Hippo Alligator Level 4 / Water / Reptile / Effect 1400 attack / 600 defense If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Reptile-Type Monster from your hand. If this card is sent from your field or Deck to your GY: You can target 1 other “Alligator” Monster in your GY: Special Summon it. You can only use each effect of “Hippo Alligator” once per turn. Snake Alligator Level 4 / Water / Reptile / Effect 1200 attack / 800 defense If this card is in your hand: you can tribute 1 Reptile-Type Monster you control to Special Summon this card from your hand. When Summoned this way, you can shuffle 1 Reptile-Type Monster from your hand into your Deck to draw 2 cards. If this card is sent from your field or Deck to your GY: You can add 1 “Alligator” Monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use each effect of “Snake Alligator” once per turn. Elephant Alligator Level 4 / Water / Reptile / Effect 2000 attack / 0 defense Cannot be Normal Summoned, unless you control a Reptile-Type Monster. If this card is in your GY: You can tribute 1 Reptile-Type Monster you control to Special Summon this card from your GY. When Summoned this way, you can shuffle 1 Reptile-Type Monster from your GY into your Deck to draw 1 card. If this card is sent from your field or Deck to your GY: You can add 1 other “Alligator” Monster from your GY to your hand. You can only use each effect of “Elephant Alligator” once per turn. The Home of the Alligators Spell - Field During your Main Phase: You can target 1 “Alligator” Monster you control; return that target to your hand, then you can Special Summon 1 “Alligator” Monster from your GY with a different original name. You can banish this card from your GY, along with 1 Reptile-Type Monster from your hand; add 1 “Snake Rain” from your Deck to your hand. You can only use each effect of “The Home of the Alligators” once per turn.
Tkk
I think its very creative to take that 1 card and expand it this much, so great job on that. Right now, I can't really see a win condition, so that's something that needs to change. Even in a first wave, there needs to be some strategy to actually win the game. Probably the weakest card here is the field spell. Partially because I don't know how I feel about tying Snake Rain directly into the archetype, and partially because I don't think it actually adds anything. This might be the type of card you would want to restrict your opponent in some way, if you control a large number of Alligator monsters. Or maybe have them stun the field, a little like Watts used to do.Needs a Link or Xyz monster to take advantage. Although, personally I'd change the levels and just stick to Links. Might give you more capital to make your monster effects stronger.
