2 non-Token Monster you control and/or in your hand


 


If this card is Special Summoned, Based on the other Duel result(s) of this current Match that you either Lose and/or Win you can apply 1 or both the following effects.


@ Lose: This card gain 2500 ATK. reduce the amount that would be gained by 400 for each of your turn that passed on the Duel that you Lose. Also while this card is face-up, This card cannot be destroyed by card effect


@ Win: While this card is face-up, This card cannot be Targeted by opponent card effect


 


ATK 2500 / DEF 2300


 


as the title suggest, this is supposed to be posted on NY yesterday. the card itself is monster that like Matchwinner has Match based effect although another take on it by being stronger in different ways depending on the current result of your match-up. in a single duel is still a generic 2500/2300 vanilla for 2 monster your own (well i kinda want to prevent Super-poly shenanigans first unless you guys thinks this is okay)

Hey. Let's fix the PSCT a little bit:

 

2 non-Token monsters

If this card is Special Summoned: Apply 1 of these effects, based on the results of the previous Duel this Match.

● You lost: This card gains 2500 ATK, then loses 400 ATK for each of your turns that passed the previous Duel. This card cannot be destroyed by card effects.

● You won: This card cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects.

 

Now, what I have to say is that unless if you were OTK'ed the previous Duel or such, the first effect will probably harm you more than anything, since there is no restriction as to how much ATK the card lose. As far as I can tell, if the previous Duel really dragged on, the card could potentially end up with less ATK than it already started with. It's immunity is pretty nice, but makes me wonder why the second effect simply only has targeting protection.

 

Anyways, the biggest problem I have with this card is it's ATK overall; this card has way too much power for the price of two non-Token monsters. If you were to decrease the ATK and DEF to around the 1000's and increase the ATK boost to 4000 or so, then I would be more comfortable with this card. Otherwise, as it stands, it is a pretty cool take on the Match-based effects that Konami has released, though as with all of them, this card would not see competitive play.

actually the reduction only reduce the amount of the boost not the overall stat so at worst if your opponent win by grinding her/his way up past 7 turns the monster gain 0 ATK thus the stat stay at 2500. wording borrowed from Dark Snake Syndrome

 

funny thing is NCM reviews actually want  extra effects and to omit the reduction of the boost given the big scary 5000 that only works on game 2 which prepare opponent more to counter this card from the get go in the same vein that this card technically less annoying UTL
