[Written] Carvanant Archetype, Rock Geminis

Recommended Posts

Carvanants are an EARTH Rock archetype focused solely on Normal Summons and Normal Monsters. While they have Synchros, the Deck is more akin to Superheavy Samurais, excluding that they have Spell/Traps to support them. As these are Geminis, they tend to have a slower start depending on the hand. With Rock Bombardment and other EARTH supports, they can mill their monsters and revive with ease and since the monsters tend to have low ATK, Giant Rat is a formidable choice, but the monsters don't tend to switch to Defense Position by themselves. They have burn and protection tactics to stall and whittle the LP of the opponent. Lastly, each of the Main Deck Carvanant monsters, saved for their Main Deck boss monster, have an effect that allows for further Normal Summons or switching off effects (only 1 has so far).

It's been a while since I last posted cards.

I like the theme so kudos there. It's always tough for me to look at cards that are just written (just a personal problem), but from what I can see it looks like the main deck monsters might be a little too heavy on effects.

This card in particular bothers me at the moment

Nature Covenant with the Pyro Divinities

Each time you take battle damage, inflict that much damage to you.

I know that the last effect is supposed to cancel it out, but Trickstars can deal 800 damage per effect without having to take lethal damage from 2-3 attacks.

I'm sorry if that's too brief of a review, I just wanted to give something so you wouldn't feel like your work was wasted. Hope it helps a little. If you want to ask more specific questions, I could probably respond better to that.
