During the Main Phase (Quick Effect): You can discard this card; banish 1 “Kaiju” monster you control that is owned by your opponent, then, you can special summon 1 monster from your GY. You can only control 1 “Kaiju” monster. This card is unaffected by other “Kaiju” Card’s effects and cannot be destroyed by battle with a “Kaiju” monster. During your end phase, if this card is in your GY: You can special summon this card. You can only use this effect of “Super Anti-Kaiju War Machine Mecha-Thunder King” once per duel.

As much as i want to like it, some of the wording kinda upsets me. your opponent has to own the kaiju, which makes it have a lot less utility overall, as you have to predict their kaiju play, and have this in hand to make the play, it's not impossible, but It really doesn't help that you can't own the kaiju.

 

The EP effect is nice, but it being immune to kaiju card effects still makes it really hard for me to like it, as i play actual kaiju.dek, and the new boy on the block not playing with the rest of the kids just rubs me the wrong way.

I can see what you're on about, but from a flavour standpoint it makes sense for it to be immune to other Kaijus or taking away a Kaiju that your opponent owned, and that's what I appreciate about the card, aside from the issues it has.

i can live with not being affected by other kaiju, that bit makes enough sense, the part i'm on about is the "owned by your opponent" i like that it encourages interaction, but it really limits itself by not being able to hit kaiju you own, as that would open up some really funny combos.

The "owned by your opponent" thing is what a few people don't like about the card as you have to predict your opponent to Kaiju you. I know it limits itself that way, but it's how Konami designed it.
