Hello Everyone, I'm New Here. How do you do?

I have a custom card here designed to support flip effect monsters (Mostly the 'Jar' archetype).

Flip effects have always been my favorite kind of effects in the game, I don't know why but I've always loved the concept.

Effect Text Reads:

When this card is activated; Add 1 "Jar" monster from your Deck to your hand. Any monster that is Summoned is changed to Defense Position and the battle position cannot be changed for the rest of that turn. Once per turn you can flip 1 face-down Defense Position monster on the field into face-up Defense Position. Negate any card that negates Flip Monsters effects. If a monster is Pendulum Summoned while this card is face-up on the field, it can be set in face-down Defense Position.

If there is anything you guys think i can improve let me know! I'm very aware that Jar cards are kind of out of date, and the very useful (and degenerate) ones are banned and have been banned... But hey, it's my favorite archetype so give me a break!   Kappa

Looking for Constructive feedback/criticism ONLY. If you hate what i did or hate my opinions, this is not the thread for you.

Thank you so much for reading. <3

1st,2nd, and 3rd effect is fine

4th effect being "Negate any card that negates Flip Monsters effects" its kinda vague. i get that you want Flip effect to be unstoppable but its much more simpler to make it "Flip Effects cannot be negated"

5th effect basically you can pendulum summon monster in facedown so you can make it like this "You can Pendulum Summon Monster in face-down Defense Position". granted, most Jar Monster lack of pendulum synergy other than the usual field advantage. but i guess its fine

Agree with Jolly mostly. Also, I noticed that you asked for constructive criticism only. Now we are not a group of steel-hearted thugs that will insult cards made by other people. However, sometimes people do make custom cards that are completely broken and/or need balancing. Therefore, sometimes people will point out mistakes and/or problems with those cards and how to fix them. Your card effects themselves do not look too broken, which is good. However, having 5 effects on a single card is a bit much. Most Field Spells (I'm assuming this is a Field Spell; I cannot see the picture on this older computer) have 3 normally, and I have yet to see one with 4. If you were to choose 3 to keep and discard the rest, I'm sure the card would be more balanced.

To be fair unless its really unelegant, win-more, or excessive cards can have 4 or more effects on it if its nescessary and lore/aesthetic wise fitting. But yeah im agreeing with Smily in this one that i review this again, the 1st battle postion changer (the 2nd effect) wording making it works for both player thus you dont really need the pendulum summon in defense effect of it since it do it the same result
