Devastating Drop Off

Counter Trap Card

When your opponent adds a card(s) from their Deck to their hand (except during the Draw Phase): They must discard all of those cards. If your opponent adds 2 or more cards from their deck to their hand, you can activate this card from your hand. You can only activate 1 "Devastating Drop Off" per turn.

So Devastating Drop Off acts as a improved Drastic Drop off where this hits for all cards your opponents get and can even be activated from the hand if your opponent adds 2 or more cards to their hand.

The wording of your effect is a bit redundant as drawing is already treated and even defined within the rules as a form of adding a card to the hand.

EDIT: OP edited post to remove redundancy, do not quote this post and tell me or Tinkerer that we're imagining things.

It might be redundant, but it is largely copying the wording of "Drastic Drop Off" which has been been reprinted recently enough for the text to be considered correct.

That said, I'm not really a fan of this straight up outclassing Drastic Drop Off, especially as it simply adds another card to the "Opponent-doesn't-get-to-draw-a-card" Counter Fairy deck.  It may not be relevant, but doubling the number of those cards in a deck really doesn't sit well with me.  You could at least debuff this to be a Normal Trap...

...wait a second...

EDIT: So I just jumped on ygopro real quick and this... this card could combo with stuff like Trickstar Reincarnation/Artifact Durendal/etc. to leave the opponent without a hand entirely.  This card is a no-go for me.  I don't know how to fix it without ruining the flavor behind it, but it'd likely be abused to completely kill an opponent's hand more than it's intended purpose.

Konami not following their own standards? Now, that's another one on the list of bad and evil things Konami has done! ;-)

You'd think with all the effects which specifically mention "except by drawing" they released over the years that they'd have fixed that on the latest release of Drastic Drop Off!

probs house keeping terminology? make it double-proof on the ruling that it also trigger on Normal Draw?

nah~ we never know

there actually quite number of cards with rule-bending effects that haven't PSCT - standardize (which i personally called them "treasure trove of card making ideas") which left like that due to very low impact to the game so it wont bother much the common interactions we have know

I was thinking of a similar concept (if not the same), If I may suggest how to fix the disgusting interactions it currently has, make it only be able to activate upon adding cards by the opponent's effect, that way if they somehow draw a bunch of cards of their own, they do deserve this IMO, but not to be forced to surrender by BS interactions.

You can even include the draw phase but I am more concerned about them being discarded (you know dangers existence) rather than just being sent to the GY, then again that could be the "drawback".
