A new support card for Yosenju appears, designed to help eliminate problems on your opponent’s field.




RIRA-JP071 妖仙獣の居太刀風 Yosenju Itachikaze (Yosenju Weaselblade Wind)
Normal Trap Card

You can only activate a card with this card’s name once per turn.
(1) If you control no monsters: You can show your opponent up to 2 “Yosenju” monsters with different names from your hand, then target an equal number of face-up cards your opponent controls; return those cards to the hand.


Note: 居太刀 is basically them slapping a Kanji in front of Tachi (a type of Japanese sword) to make it sound like Itachi, the Japanese word for Weasel, which you know, the Yosenju all are.

Not too bad really. a double evacuation device for yosenju after they bounce themselves. Running 1 or 2 wouldn't be bad imo, but i've never used them, so maybe i'm missing something.

Joking aside, I'm thinking that the deck hasn't changed too much over the years. Card of Demise + sit on floodgates. More draw cards + different traps are probably the only changes they've gone through. Their counter trap has probably (definitely) been cut entirely due to MR4, so the deck should be up for a reinterpretation. This card may not stop effects like the counter trap, but bouncing 2 cards at the right time could cripple an opponent's play. There are a few other cards that could fill a similar roll as this card but more generically though so... I'm not too sure how I feel about this tbh.
