捕食計画 Predator Planning(?) (Predaplanning)
Normal Trap Card

You can only use each of the (1) and (2) effect of this card’s name once per turn.
(1) Send 1 “Predaplant” monster from your Deck to the GY; place 1 Predator Counter on each face-up monster on the field, and if you do, any of those monsters that are Level 2 or higher become Level 1 as long as they have a Predator Counter.

(2) If you Fusion Summon a DARK monster while this card is in your GY: You can banish this card, then target 1 card on the field; destroy it.

Well despite this being a trap... It does one thing right for the Predator Counter aspect of the Deck and that is mass counter distribution, and Trap Trick tutors it. At best though, it gives Dragostapelia a window to be a Skill Drain to shut down as much effects as possible, or turns Chylamdosundew into a weaker Super Poly in the following turn.

As for the rest of what this does:

  • Can be used with Spinodionaea to get out another Predaplant out on their battle Phase.
  • Can stall your opponent from attacking into Flytrap if timed on their Battle Phase.
  • It sets up Drosophyllum Hydra play for your next turn in regards to the trap's send effect.
  • It sets up a Squid Drosera play for you to attack all their monsters with whatever.
  • It turns Possessed Dark Soul (non-Predaplant monster) into a mass pre-errata Brain Control because Predator Counters mess with Levels to be 1.

I like that it sends for cost and not for effect, making it unable to be ashed. Putting a lot of counters all over the field is pretty nice, since it helps with the deck's win condition. Putting predaplants with good GY effects in your GY is always nice, especially when you can send them from your deck to the GY. Having the additional GY effect to destroy a card isn't too necessary, but is a nice addition to the card. While the card is kinda slow, it still seems pretty good.
